Isla and lydia we r surgery buddies!!! My time is set for 11am. I've been on a "4 Protein shakes a day and only raw veggies" pre-op diet since 8/29 and Im so sick of it. Haven't been feeling too good at all' date=' headaches, bloated and gas. Not to mention very irritable!!! Im excited, but very nervous too. I am married and have 2 boys, 7 & 9. I am turning 40 on 9/25. How bout u?[/quote']

Yay!!!! Another surgery buddy!!!! My surgeron didn't require and liquid diet or anything! I don't have my time until tomorrow...Tuesday!

I went shopping for a little bit of puréed things or things to puréed! I'll be in a puréed diet for a month after surgery. But it's finally setting that my body is about to get rocked! ;) lol

And I'm 29, happily married to the greatest guy! We don't have any kids, just 2 furbabies! Lol Kids are one of the many reason I/we came to this decision to have surgery!

Oooh I can't wait!!!! :)

I start my liver shrinking diet on Wednesday, I'm pretty much ready. This 10 month wait went by super fast. Oh and to the people keeping track of the weight my start weight is 328. I haven't been nervous yet until today. My surgeons assisstant called at 3:45 and told me that she never received the cleance from my PCP and she needs it today. I went into panic mode. I called my PCP to see whats wrong. She won't clear me until she gets the cardiologist to clear me. Well I was panicing. Everybody closes at 5 and they need this today. So after a dozen phone calls back and forth and me damn near crying, screaming and throwing a hissy fit. I get a call at 4:50 saying they got the clearence and I'm good to go! I don't understand why they needed it TODAY. Yeah I have an appoinment w/ my surgeon at 7:30 am tomorrow but my surgery isn't until friday. But anyway......It's good now!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
