I had my Roux en Y on March 10' date=' 2008. My starting weight was 260# and have maintained 148-150# since Nov 2008. I have done many exhilarating activities since the weight loss. Since. August 2010 I have taken up running. On March 6, 2011 I completed a full Marathon (26.2 miles), and since then i have completed a half Marathon, a 10k and 2 Half Marathons. Now I have taken on a new challenge for Sept 2013...Tahoe Tough Mudders :)[/quote']

Just curious, how'd you find our community ?

:) I really like this community. I have been to some where it has been a place to through out excuses for behaviors and many enabling it. This community thus far has showed so much support in all aspects, for this journey we have all embarked upon. This new life is anything but easy but with a strong support system anything is possible!

Thanks for the support with the 5K Veronica. It will be a while yet before I am ready but I will definitely be hitting you up for that training info.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
