I drink Water at the movies now...and I was a cherry icee fiend! Water is best...at least for me. Hate to waste extra calories on a liquid and would prefer to get my calories from actual food.< /p>

I'm of the school of thought "everything in moderation" as long as it doesn't hurt you or you are too early to try it. Others on here will slam me for that, but this works for me. Some completely give up certain foods and that is their choice. If I am unable to enjoy something in moderation, then I will avoid it. So I think after you are healed, it would be something you could try. Of course, not every day and not a ton because it is sugar and empty calories. I'm going on 3 months out and I've had some sips of Coke. One sip here and there, I'm fine. But more than that and the bubbles don't feel great. Personally, if I tell myself I'm never going to have a coke again, that is all I will obsess about until I have a coke. If I allow myself the flexibility to enjoy things in moderation, I have a much healthier mindset about it.

That's the healthiest most REALISTIC feedback I've read. :)

Thanks:) It's taken me lots of therapy to come to this realization about myself!

I hope to have this mindset a year or two down the road, but for now, at 5 mos out, I am in a "no sugar" zone. I am diabetic as well, so an Icee was never a go to drink for me anyway but....maybe someday. I want the popcorn when i am at a movie, but my doctor says Absolutely not. Many here have had it earlier than where I am but I am taking no chances on screwing this up- 75 lbs down and having no problems so ill keep it that way.

Everyone has to do what is best for them and in their situation. I haven't tried popcorn yet either - too afraid at this early out. I love that the sleeve has allowed me to have this mindset:) I couldn't do it before the sleeve - moderation was not a possibility for me.

7-11 has sugar free slurpees, or you could buy the sugar free icee liquids (like Crystal Light) and make your own.

I got a Magic Bullet to help with the puree stage and the kids are liking it when I put ice in and turn it into snow. Just add SF liquid of your choice and you have yourself an Icee.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
