The hospital billed my insurance close to $50,000. I paid about 1400 out of pocket. If you were a cash patient the charge is $10,000 with my surgeon.

I'm 3 weeks post op. Started at 320. Day of surgery (May 20th) 313. Today 295. So things are going great!

Just called my insurance to double check; Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (Massachusetts) is covering all expenses apart from the remaining $214.58 that I owe for my yearly deductible. A new life for under $250? I'll take it!

I was self pay and it was $13,000 total for everything in Dallas, Texas.

My ins paid $32,000 for surgery day. Thats everything. I had met my 1250 deductable during the preop visits and tests.

Not sure what my insurance was billed yet but I have to pay $250 and that's it! I thank God because I know some people are not as fortunate.

Mine cost $38,000.00 and I only had to pay $112.00 out of my pocket.

There's no way I couldve done that out of pocket either. My insurance paid for all but my $550 deductible.
