  1. I was self pay and my total bill was 17,600
  2. Anyone get a bad illness prior to surgery? Was your surgery delayed due to it? I now have pneumonia, on antibiotics for seven days. Surgery date is may 28. Should no be concerned? Please give me input. Thanks so much. Of course I tried calling my surgeon, but this all just happened late yesterday and the office was already closed:(
  3. So my surgery is set for may 28th, and today a chest x-ray revealed i have pneumonia. Awesome. On a strong antibiotic. Should I be concerned that may surgery will now be delayed? I am freaking out.
  4. Just curious if any sleevers out there wish they had gone with the RNY instead? Purely out of curiosity, not at ALL implying negativity.

  6. Hello from SC! I have a surgery date of May 28th...although I still cannot decide WHICH surgery to have. My first choice was the sleeve, but after my psych consult last week, I am beginning to second guess that decision. The psychiatrist I saw claims that 90 percent of her post-op patients are disappointed in their weightloss and the rate at which they are losing. Since there are no long-term studies on the sleeve, I am curious as to what you all have experienced with the sleeve decision. How has your weight loss been? Slow? Any regrets/wish you had the RNY instead?
  7. So I am all set for surgery. I'm self-pay and have set a date. My doctor has ruled out the band for me, and now I can't decide between the sleeve our the bypass. He says it can be a game day decision, but I want to start the decision process now. Any thoughts/ suggestions?
