  1. I am 6 years out and have regained about 40 pounds. I have stopped following the rules and am trying to get back on track. I hate feeling like a failure. I am still trying how to deal with stress without eating. It’s going to take awhile to figure it out.
  2. The hospital billed my insurance close to $50,000. I paid about 1400 out of pocket. If you were a cash patient the charge is $10,000 with my surgeon.
  3. My surgeon is 4.5 hours away and I only see the NP for about 5 minutes. fter my last appointment I am wondering why bother, I can follow up locally with my PA. My bloodwork is fine and I have support from my NUT by phone or email when necessary.
  4. I am right there with you. I am so angry with myself! I was doing great and then life took over. I keep finding so many reasons no to get back on track. I really need to find some motivation.
  5. I knew I had a lot of black but wow I have every kind of shirt, jacket and sweater in black. I try to stay away from black now.
  6. I cleaned mine out last weekend. It was bittersweet to let go of them. I have a post op visist on Monday and am dropping them off at a resale shop for my surgeon's bariatric patients.
  7. What is everyone doing for the nasty rashes from the belly rub?? Its difficult (and embarrassing) to exercise with the flap flopping trying to exercise. Any suggestions? I have to lose 100 pounds before insurance will pay for a panni..only 44 more pounds to go.
  8. Do you track calories or just protein and fluid intake?? I wasn't given a daily carb amount. Do you track it too? My nut hasn't told me to keep track of calories but my scale isn't moving so I thought I might need to keep track of it.
  9. You are full of new ideas for me thanks! I will be trying some of them out soon.
  10. The cauliflower browned sounds good! I keep spoiling my family and make the starches but my one bite became 2, 3 and more. So I have to cut them out completely. Do you have a surgery date yet?
  11. I am needing new ideas for dinners for myself and family. My hubby is so picky!! I am trying to keep low carb for the entire family but it's hard finding a new side to replace potatoes and rice. I am going to try to sneak in cauliflower soon and get rid of the potatoes. Any ideas??
  12. I had 3 oz of BBQ beef and 1/2 of a deviled egg. I am still stuffed!
  13. I need to get back on track. I really need support for this! I am starting on Friday. Anyone care to join me???
  14. How is everyone's weight loss going? I am stalling and have lost around 50-51 pounds. I just can't get the scale to budge. I am off of blood pressure medicine. I have went from a size 22 that wouldn't button to a loose 14. I have lots of nsv but really want my scale to start moving again!
  15. I find my old habits are sneaking back in. How can i break my carb addiction?? I crave them all the time. Carbs seem to be everywhere i look. I have stalled for a few weeks, but life has been so stressful. I am learning stress makes me forget my entire eating plan. Any tips or advise on getting back on track?
  16. FIrst thank you for being so honest! I have struggled off an on for the last month. I am three months out was scared to share my struggles. It seems like everyone is perfect and it made me feel like a failure. I haven't posted in a week or so and was tired of reading I lost 100 pounds in 4 months, etc.. Yes I have ate an entire box of crackers more than once. I have said it out loud! I know it wasn't good for me but I am trying my best to get back on track. You can too! It can be tough with the doctor's restrictions. My dietician said to follow 85-90% of it and give yourself a little break. She said if I am craving pizza for example have one small slice, because if I don't then I will end up binging on it. I have made new routines for taking vitamins and drinking my water. I also start each day with a protein shake to jump start my protein count for the day. I struggle to get my required protein with food alone. It takes awhile to build new routines. I think we have to realize that we have behaviors that we have to overcome and use the tool that we have to help achieve our goals. It is a process that we have to get through and can with support. I am here if you ever need to talk. You can do this!!
  17. That sucks!! But at least your are getting very close.
  18. September sleevers thanks for sharing your updates. I was sleeved in October and its nice to see where everyone else is at and hopefully where I will be in another month.
