Where is aunt flo?

I'm over a week late, which is unusual for me. My husband has been snipped and I'm faithful.

So where is AF? Do the accompanying hormone friends that come w the sleeve make AF wonky? Maybe it's my blood thinners I'm on? Google doesn't give me results in that.

I feel crampy for a day and then nothing for a few. And so on. What gives?

Noone else?

Guess ill ask the dr.

I got mine within a day after leaving the hospital. I am due now, feeling the symptoms but nothing yet. I'm a couple days late. I'm a month out.

I got mine the day after surgery (2/8) and haven't seen her since...... NO CLUE where's she's at! I don't miss it, but I can't help but think that it must be related to the drastic slow down of my weight loss since her first missed appearance. who knows...

See, I came home from the hospital on the 6th of march. Started on the 8th. Normal period. This month, nothin.

Strange.

I got off mine the day of surgery which was march 20th. I'm 3 days late and I'm always on time. Seems like it's normal after the surgery

I haven't seen aunt flo in a year. I don't miss her at all.

I got mine day of surgery March 29th. I had it like 4 extra days than normal. I too was cramps for a day or too when it was time to start but still nothing yet..

This is strictly guesswork--I'm not a doctor, and I don't even play one on TV--but it might be a hormonal imbalance brought on by the surgery. Our bodies (well, you ladies' bodies since I'm not sleeved just yet) go through a rather big shock, and I've seen lots of folks on the forum saying it's normal to experience a weight loss stall somewhere in the first 3-5 weeks, because the body senses starvation tactics and switches into survival mode. Maybe the hormonal balance goes off kilter right around the same time?

People who eat very little, such as those who suffer anorexia, sometimes have a very irregular or nonexistent menstrual cycle. Maybe there's a link? Maybe the hormones get pushed to the back burner because the brain and pituitary gland are saying, "hold yer horses, we're not getting enough calories, so no procreatin'!"

On the other side of the coin, since my heaviest weight was reached over the last year and a half, I've not heard from that particular Auntie, and my general-practice doc said it *could* be related to weight gain. He ordered blood tests, and they showed that one of my hormones was in the normal range, and the other had switched to menopausal levels. Going on oral b.c. kickstarted things. Stopping the pill send Auntie F. packing again.

I'd love to hear what an endocrinologist or other M.D. would say about this.

Hey there! Had mine for like 9 days. Since surgery. It was on time but lasted for what felt like forever!

I'm freaking out because I got mine like clockwork but have horrible cramps and an outrageous flow. I mean scary strong. I'm going through super tampons in a matter of 2-3 hours and having to use a pad as backup too. Anyone else go through this?!

I was going to post about not having a cycle like anorexic chicks don't have cycles...but someone beat me to it. I was sleeved on 4/29 and started mine the other day. The flow was INSANE but it's tapering off now. If I get to skip periods for a couple of months because of my weight loss then I am completely okay with that.

Thank god now I feel like its normal after reading these posts. I was sleeved march 27 and had a spot about a week later and now just started and its a doozy. And of course gained a couple of pounds water weight which I'm hoping will go away soon :(

Omg! That water weight is so darn discouraging. I gained 2 pounds and it sucks!!!

Having seen her since before Surgery! But was skipping like this before figured that I might be

Peri menopause.

that can happen after surgery is what my dr told me cause I had a very weird cycle last month very light and 2 weeks, my dr told me next month I might not even get one, its just because of all the changes going on in your body
