Korean tofu soup is a good way to eat tofu. My favorite is silken tofu with chopped green onion tops, grated fresh ginger, and ponzu drizzled on it. It is low carb, low cal, and soft. I hope when I am sleeved I will be able to tolerate it bcuz its one of my favorite foods.

I love all the ideas. Keep them coming . When can you start eating beef jerky? I see a lot on that? What kind?

I actually eat turkey jerky because its a lot less fat. Only .5 per serving and bags I buy (Jack Links) have 3 servings so even if I ate the whole bag which would take me all darn day, its only 1.5 fat. It does have more sodium then other foods but I do not have high blood pressure, drink cup after cup of green tea all day long and dont add salt to any other food so I justify it that way to myself lol.

Jack Links makes 100-calorie bags of jerky. I buy them in bulk at BJs. 17 or 18g of protein per bag and keeps me from having to stare at a large open bag. Yeah, it's high in sodium, but such is life. :) I started eating it as soon as I was released to solid - solid food. Just chew thoroughly.

Traci J, what came first, the chicken or the egg?

GNC Lean shakes chocolate swiss protein drinks are good.

Good to know, thanks for the tip. I dont have a BJ's around me but Im wondering if costco wouldnt have the 100 calorie bags. Ill keep an eye out for them.

I was making some today and though of you! I saw another poster talked about silken tofu..

That is good for Soups and such but has a real watery consistency you want extra firm for dry frying and such..

For your sweet tooth:

Creamy Jello Treat

Dissolve I small box sugar free jello in just half a cup boiling Water. Combine in blender with a 16 ounce tub of low fat cottage cheese. Blend until smooth. Pour into four cups or dessert dishes. Chill until firm. Each serving is 85 calories, 14 grams of Protein. Good for Breakfast or a snack.

strawberry and lime are my favorites.

Wow cool- what's it taste like, like that??

I'm scared to eat! I'm 2 days shy of being 3 weeks out but I'm still doing liquids only with a yogurt sometimes and blackbeans with laughing cow cheese

This sounds mummy. Think I may try this. Im not a fan of cottage cheese but i ma be able to eat it like that.

I eat alot of chicken breast...I bake it, cut it up then add a little fat free mayo and salt and pepper, or whatever spice I feel for the week. It does feel like a brick in my stomach but that it the point for me! It keeps me full with lots of protien and low carbs/cals. I eat alot of fish and turkey too. If I get my protien in first, I dont have room to munch on other things. I eat alot of poached eggs and greek yogurt too....plain with a packet of sweetner. At this point, my diet is pretty bland and alot of the same foods but I decided I have to to do this for awhile if I want to get to my goal. Once I am there, I will add other things. I went for a period of about 3 months at a standstill because I was not concentrating on protiens and I had the cravings for meals that everyone else in the house was eating. They were for the most part healthy but too many carbs and not enough protien. I will go back to that when I want to maintain. ( I hope this grand plan of mine works...so far so good, I broke the plateau)
