Kleah73,

congratulations on your success thus far. The fact that you lost some weight on your own, will give you an advantage on this journey.
I had my surgery on 8/25/19. Prior to my surgery I had lost 35 pounds over a two year period. My highest weight was 315 pounds and I cried when I saw that. My weight at surgery was 280 pounds. Today I am at 171 pounds.
I was hoping just to get to 200 pounds when I started so I am over the moon with where I am. I am so accustomed to my modified eating habits (I haven’t had a coke since 8-05-19!) and exercise routine (30 minutes minimum at least 5 days a week) that it has become routine.

Just stay positive, keep up the good work and enjoy the rewards of this new adventure.

Thank you so much...i am so happy you took the time to respond. This story is so familiar. I too thought that I would be very happy at 220..i want to be healthy and happy so I am looking forward to the outcome. I am patient and I am completely happy with the weight loss of 1 to 2 pounds a week. Slow and steady.

Almost 5 1/2 months out and down 77lbs! The first picture was taken the night before surgery and I'm thankful I have it for comparison. This Surgery has saved my life in so many ways. [emoji3059]IMG_2020-12-30_22-24-25.jpg

I just posted this in another similar thread but this one seems more current. First picture is a few months pre-op when I was 296lbs and the second picture was a few months ago (about 4 years post op) at 165. The third one is from just a couple days ago. I am at 160lbs now, 5’8” and 28 years old.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
