Is it normal to have poop with a ball of gas 3 days into Gastric Sleeve surgery?
Yes. I’ve never had more gas in my life until I had this surgery.
-
Is dumping a big problem for you?
I don’t dump. I dumped very shortly after surgery one time after eating some sugar free pudding. I also cannot seem to vomit. ?

Beginning BMI 35 or under
I was right around 35. I was about 220 at my highest weight. Surgeons office considered me on the “small side”. I was approved for surgery because of my comorbidities. High BP, GERD and apnea, fatty liver and joint pain. It’s been the best thing I could have done. I feel so great!!

Can I see some before and after pics?
Starting weight over 220 (not sure I wouldn’t get on a scale but estimate that) RNY July 2020, current weight 138. Wearing size small/medium and 6/8 bottoms. In the before I was wearing 18 shorts and XXL tops. I feel so amazing and so happy with the results!!

Things I won't miss about being fat!
Men are nicer to me now. Has anyone noticed that?? I also don’t miss wearing clothes that fit poorly. (I’m wearing my daughters hand me downs and they look amazing on me) I don’t miss my knees screaming when I walk!!

Before and After Pics

Anyone 30-31 BMI pre op?
My BMI 37 at surgery in July 2020. I was at 41 when I started my surgeons program. I’m at a total of 56+ pound weight loss total for about 1lb a week. I’m 20lbs from my surgeons goal at 157.2. The weight has come off quickly but I would say I haven’t lost as much as my cohorts that we’re higher than me. I was also highly resistant to weight-loss before this started.

Just the thought of it makes me barf
Me too. I started using the Isopure fruit drinks instead. When iced I handle them better. They’re available at GNC. 90 cals a scoop and 20g of protein. This milk shake aversion started for me a couple weeks ago. Just can’t do it!!

OOTD
This is me at my mid-goal photo. I still have about 40lbs to go! I can’t believe I’m this thin again! The pants were my daughters and I had to ask her to bring me some things because nothing fit. Top is a Large and trending to Medium pretty fast!!

Recent RNY - How ya doing?
Awesome!! I did 20lbs prior and 25 since surgery! I just hit my 1/2 goal. I have a hard time getting things down in the mornings but am able to eat drink better after 11. I’m wearing “normal” size clothes for the first time in probably 8 years!

Recent RNY - How ya doing?
July 17th was my RNY surgery! I’m down near 45lbs since starting my program last September. 20 for surgery, 25 after. I’m tolerating most foods with exception to Greek yogurt and beans. I am aversive to water and protein shakes in the AM. ☹️ but pushing through. I’ve had some mood swings and light hair loss. I am feeling pretty awesome and my clothes are getting pretty big!!! My goal is 125, my start weight was 213 so I have just about 43lbs to go!!! I should mention I’m a shorty measuring in at 5’1”!!

I flap my arms and bounce. I know crazy but it works like a charm.
