I don't know what's going on. After my release from the hospital things have been ok. I did have occasional vomiting, but I know it was due to eating too quickly. However, this weekend things changed. I have been nauseaous since Sunday around noon and all day Sunday I couldn't keep anything (even water) down. Yesterday I managed Water, the juice of an orange and some crackers. But, still felt nauseaous the entire time.
Today I've had two bites of oatmeal and sips of water. In addition to the nausea I feel almost like there's a ball in my chest. It's very hard to explain this sensation, not fullness, not hunger, just an awkward tightness I can't get rid of. I take prilosec every morning, I don't think this is related to reflux.
I'm scared it's some sort of complication.
I have a follow-up appointment with the nurse practitioner at my surgeon's office next Thursday, but that seems so far away at this point.
