I will be 3 weeks post-op tomorrow and I am LOVING my sleeve. True, there are some horror stories, but the surgery is very safe. Congratulations on your decision to take charge of your life and your health. This time tomorrow you may be thinking, OMG, WTH? BUT, it fades quickly. Good luck!

Im 17 days post op.. and it is well worth it. Its a bit hard in the beginning.. but then you adjust and it gets better.. I would do it again. I dont have that hunger I used to.. and my stomach is very small now and I cant eat much at all.. but thats ok.. Im good with that.. I am making good choices..and Im following everything that my doc and my nut. says.. also remember after surgery.. walk walk walk.. sip sip sip.. you will be fine.. best thing you will ever have done. best of luck.. let us know how you are doing.

I'm only 17 days post-op and I already know this may be the best decision I've ever made (that and my husband). I have not had one moment of regret. ZIP ZERO.... It gets kind of boring and tedious during these few weeks post-op because you are limited in choices but I know it's only temporary. I was totally relaxed the morning of my surgery. I can't explain it but I was just at peace. You will do great! Think happy thoughts.....

I'm just 2 wks post op...but I know this was the right choice! I have had no problems, I actually wanted to call my dr & make sure he actually did the surgery! I had a little nausea the first day, no pain...didn't even open my pain med! Other then the fact that I wasn't hungry....I felt fine! Now, the hunger is returning...I think it's in my head, cause I am full?

If I read this question the first week post op...I would not have replied for fear of making you more anxious. I won't lie...I was pretty weak and miserable the first week or two. Now, at week six post op, I feel completely normal. Eating mostly everything...in very small amts. I am down thirty pounds and I feel great. You will do just fine. Just realize that it is indeed major surgery and all that this entails. You will be happy in the end.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
