I'm glad all went well. Makes me feel better about my decision.

Yaah! Welcome to the losers club!

I love seeing photos and the little story that goes with them.

Thank you so much for showing your pictures they are going to help my mom so much, right now she has weird thoughts about what it all looks like LOL I am glad you are doing so well.

nursgirl, those are fantastic pictures! Thanks for sharing those

Awesome pictures!!! :)

Thanks for all the pics, wish I'd had thought to journal my experience that way.

Thank you so much for posting about your experience and sharing your pictures! I may very well end up in Mexico and am very interested in learning about all the details.

I also have to say I am doubly appreciative when someone who is a truly active member of this forum posts like this. There are a fair number of posts from people who show up without an avatar and participate in NO discussions except to say "wow, I had a great experience with Dr. X and coordinator Y who works for medical coordinator company Z! They are so wonderful! You should check them out!" and then vanishes into the ether. Maybe it's just me but I disregard that kind of post completely. Yours on the other hand is clearly from a real person, not a paid imposter shilling for a company or doctor.

If I do go to Mexico I might well end up with Dr. Ponce so this is really great for me to read. Also considering Dr. Garcia and Drs. Lopez & Osana, but I'm not making any decisions until I know about insurance coverage here.

Glad you are doing well!! And thanks for sharing your story and pics! You really have put me at ease and it's great to hear from a nurse her expeirience!!

Loved the pics and welcome to the losers bench!

That is exactly what I've notice and have been trying to discern from. Watching vlogs on YouTube has helped too. I don't like all the drama going on with different coordinators. This thread has been very helpful too. I'm still researching though.

The pics are great! Thanks for sharing :)

Glad you are doing so well!

that's EXACTLY how I felt when I was trying to decide where to go and whether I even wanted to go to Mexico LOL that's why I decided I was gonna take lots of pics and figured maybe it would help someone else to feel more comfortable about whatever decision they make. :)

I am feeling great today... no pain since Friday night except some soreness when I roll around in my sleep (from the incision sites). Tolerating Clear liquids and just tried sipping a little bit of watered down Protein shake and so far so good. I am completely baffled that I don't feel hungry. It's weird! LOL I feel very full after just a couple ounces of liquid too so I am having to keep Water and other liquids with me to sip all the time but that's no big deal. My doctor told me that it would be a little tougher right now anyway because there's of course some swelling to the stomach tissue still..

Thanks so much for sharing your trip to MX for your WLS!! I leave 1 week from today & have my surgery on the 26th, so it was great to see a little of what I am looking forward to. Loved the pics & the play by play! You look so happy, glad all went well :)
