I choked it down when I was on clears because I knew I needed the protein!! I diluted it with water. It just left this weird stringy film in my mouth! Yuck! But clears doesnt last long and you need that protein!! Best wishes!!!

From what I understand, as long as you are on a ppi then you need calcium citrate.

Was it a clear liquid the have you? Or a white chalky mixture? Barium is the white chalky one. They usually don't give that to sleeve patients. Usually they use gastrographin which tastes horrible!! So that's why they probably mixed it with kool aid for you

Are you taking anything for stomach acid? A ppi like prilosec can really help!!

Cake unfortunately is a slider food. It slides right thru your sleeve. Most high carb "bad for you" food are sliders. chips, popcorn, Cookies. DANGER FOODS!!! You're still very early out and like amazon said, still healing and nerves aren't fully functioning. Be very careful at this point!! You could so some serious damage. I'm glad you realized it was a mistake. Hopefully you can make better choices down the road. Best wishes!!! PS. Once you start on denser Proteins you will really feel that ristriction!!!

Here in Texas the surgeon I spoke to was $14k. I just didn't have that much and did a Ton of research and ended up going to a very reputable surgeon in Mexico. I am in the medical field and so I understand your concern about Mexico. But I can tell you first hand I received first class treatment and wonderful medical care!! Best wishes on your journey

Unfortunately not all surgeons tell their patients the importance of staying on plan. You're not stupid, just not informed. Now you know and it sounds like you are taking it seriously. Hope the weather clears up soon for you!!! And best wishes to you and your family!!
