In prepping for the challenge I finally went over to fitday.com and started logging EVERYTHING that passes my lips...I discovered I am not as lo-cal as Ithought, but am averaging about 800 cals a day...still, with 2600 cals required to maintain, I figure I should be on target to lose 1-2 pounds a week...

Now I just have to figure out the exercise thing...!!! :-/ I'm lazy at heart...

Ugh beware of Cream of Wheat!!! It gets stuck easily-it expands..yikes. If you do get it stuck..hot water(like tea bag hot) will melt it to go down. I will never do cream of wheat again...lol...I switched to Gerber Rice w/Bananas.

Just wanted to share!

Take care!

food for thought.

A great story to pass on to our kids and a lesson to be learned by us

all.

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson

about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two

"wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow,

regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment,

inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,

kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and

faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his

grandfather:

"Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
