Tomorrows my big day!! So nervous - did anyone contemplate backing out?

Nope... Had a lot of... What am I getting myself into??? But that's about it.

You are doing a fantastic job Klyn' date=' thank you!![/quote']

Yes you are!

I only though about backing out after it was done. Monday and Tuesday were terrible. Today has been better especially if i stay on top of my pain and spasm meds. I was very nauseated in the hospital but have only used phenergan once since being home. I'm using commercials to remind me to sip and use my incentive spirometer. I didn't write a letter.. but had a long talk with the husband about making sure my son knew how much i love him. And made sure he knew where the paperwork for my life insurance policies where.

I have to keep my drain in until next wednesday... i really hate it. I can feel the suction of it. Really looking forward to feeling better because right now I'd rather be fat than feel like this. I know in a week I will feel the exact opposite.

I had the second thoughts in the recovery room! LOL.

As not to scare anyone, I am doing well going home today. I re-read the what are you going to do with your new life to keep me focused

You are doing a fantastic job Klyn, thank you!!

Thank you but I am only part of the great team here doing this

I cannot believe that it's been 23 days since I had my surgery! I honestly do not know where the time has gone. I am down 26.5 lbs since starting the pre op diet. I am in the midst of the 3 week stall, but know that after nearly 6 weeks of being at 500-800 calories/day, my body has some serious readjusting to do. I've been back at the gym for 2 weeks and every day feel a little stronger. I'm looking forward to going back to kettlebell classes next month. I know that is going to be a huge help in dropping weight and reshaping the body.

So many of us starting this journey together! We are amazing!!

Well Kimmyiet, I guess this is last day on this side. Good luck and see you on the losing side!

Was sleeved on Thursday aug 23rd. Discharged on the 25th. As of this morning down 22lbs 312 to 290. 28 lbs total!! Getting easier everyday but this is not the easy way out as some people may think! Best wishes to all!!

I was August 23rd too...good luck and best wishes from Scotland:):)

I was sleeved yesterday, and I'm packing up to go home from the hospital. Yesterday was not a good day for me, at all. I spent majority of the evening vomiting mucous and dried blood. I was miserable, and my blood pressure shot up into the 200s systolic. They've given me 3 doses of b/p meds to get me back into a safe zone to go home. I had the sleeve, along with a hernia repair, and I must say that this recovery has been way worse than my last two laparoscopic surgeries. The good thing is that my blood glucoses are normal, AFTER 1 DAY, so I'm going home without the Metformin, but with an additional one for my b/p. I'm happy I did it, and it's only a matter of time before I'm off the b/p meds. Getting and staying healthy is my new priority.

I am so amazed two more days and all the august sleevers is done....but we wont be complete till we have the rest of the next two days done, so here is our list for tomorrows sleevers....we wish you all the very best and speedy recovery and waiting for you on the losers bench.

My surgery was Tuesday. Just wondering if any of you who are already sleeved had a "foamy" mouth and throat after?? I don't know wht it means but my PA said it happens. I want to know when it'll go away because itoften caus more nausea for me. :(

I also have such a swollen sleeve that if I have more then one tiiiiiny sip of water my chest/asophagus burns. :( so I'm having a hard time taking anything in. Also anything besides water (and even water t times) is making me sick. Even while on zofran.

I also keep getting a light fever... Which is apparently normal but it just is another thing to add to the list... :(
