Nerves aren't a factor yet. I'm sure I will feel differently when I check in at 5:30 in the morning. Today I am doing straight Water until midnight when I can't have anything else. I kid you not I'm sick to my stomach. The smell if food is making me sick :( I'm so ready!!! Kinda scared of how ill react from anesthesia since this is my first time going under "/

It was rough, not gonna lie I did cheat one day and had a grilled buffalo chicken wrap. Then felt really bad and went back on. I was allowed to have crystal light, Jello apple sauce, icees, pretty Much anything Decaf, and sugar free. And two Luna bars a day. I lost about 9lbs during the two weeks even with the cheat

The anesthesia is the easy part. Most doctor's will say something like count backwards from 10 to 1 when they inject you but you'll be lucky to get the word "ten" out. The meds go in the via IV. Then you just wake up...you'll be cold but they have blankets that have been warmed. Don't forget to ask for a small pillow so you can cough. The coughing is normal but hold is tight to your belly then cough. It will still hurt a little but not as bad without the pillow. Good luck...and welcome to the club. :D

You're going to blink your eyes once and it will be over! Anesthetized sleep is different than normal sleep because you wake up with no concept of elapsed time. Best of luck, we're all on the loser's bench for the winning team, rooting you on!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
