January 2012 Sleevers!

Rather than keeping the old January (2011) thread resurrected, I thought it was about time to start a 2012 thread.

I'm scheduled for January 23, 2012, and just got my official insurance approval yesterday.

I am absolutely PUMPED about this surgery. I can't wait... I'm anticipating crazy nerves as it draws nearer, but for now, I'll ride the wave of excitement, thank you very much. biggrin.gif

  • I'm done!!! I'm sleeved!! It was almost totally painless! Tomorrow I will probably be a little sore. Not taking any pain medications and I've been out of surgery for 4 hours now. Good luck everyone el

I am sleeved. Yesterday I was in horrible pain. Got up to walk finally at 4 am . Super tired. Still waiting to drink something. Hard part is over though. I made it to the losers bench!!

  • Well I'm sleeved! yesterday was the first day to my new life! Surgery went great! hardly had pain, got up and walked around by 4ish, did that a few more times, eating ice chips and doing well. Tod

Hi! I am sceduled for Jan 17th and so excited and nervous at the same time. I wish you luck !!

Chris

What about January Jewels? Too girly? Are there any boys in the group? Not that I'm opposed to juggernauts (or X-men) but I'm looking to be more of a jewel than a massive juggernaut! I wouldn't mind loosing a juggernaut in lbs! =)

Haha yep sorry, I'm a boy... we ruin everything :P

Ok, well you have to give me some credit for getting the x-men reference at least! =)

How about January Jazz? Too basketball?

I have a question for everyone that is choosing VSG, why VSG over RNY.. Several people in my group (yes I know everyone is different) opted for VSG in the beginning but by surgery they chose to have RNY instead..

I believe that for me I am choosing the right surgery because I have no co morbidities that RNY would correct, I do have high cholesterol and they are watching my blood pressure as I am on the verge of having high blood pressure. Anyways today I am just having a second guessing of the type of surgery I chose.

Thanks everyone for listening

my last apt with my nutritionist is on Jan 19 so i am hoping everything gets submitted fast because i cant wait!!! so excited
