  1. Yeah, you are lucky, my doctor will not let me do any creamed or blend stuff in either. I was tempted but my new sleeve can be sensitive!
  2. Hooray, finally got my WL ticker working!!
  3. I had practically no pain with my surgery, which is uncommon for me, because surgeries in the past I was a wimp. I started driving after 2 days because I was not on any pain medication. My doctor told me I could drive as long as I was not taking any pain medication.
  4. Hi Tif, I am 2 1/2 weeks out now and the the first two weeks I had only 2 BM's. Passing gas is a very good thing, my doctor told me in the hospital, it means your system is starting to recover from surgery and starting to work properly again, tho it does take some time for a BM, as long as your not feeling constipated.
  5. Hi Drea, Glad to hear you are doing very well. I was sleeved on the 16th and doing well also, I did have stomach spasms everytime I would drink for about a week but now that is over. Like you, it seems like I have no limitations of the amount of things I do. Just been busy running here and there. I glad to hear you progress to different soups. For your dry mouth, my nutritionist said you can chew sugar free gum, that seems to help me, but just remember you need to keep a close eye on your liquid intake and make sure you are not getting dehyrated. Keep up the good work. I have lost 18lbs (including my loss with my pre op diet)
  6. HI EVERYONE! I was sleeved on Monday in Illinois. So far my experience has been exceptional! My only pain is when I drink (all liquid diet) I get a painful spasm but it only last 5 seconds or so and my tummy gurgles. I just figure my tummy is lettin me know thst it is mad at me but I tell it "it is to make you more healthy and say goodbye to diabetes. It will thank me in the long run LOL
  7. GoshTiffanye, all liquids.. that has to be hard. I am able to have non starchy veggies anytime and in the morning a bowl of cream of wheat. My surgery is 3 days before you. Good Luck to you !!! I am on my 10th day of the pre op diet and stepped on the scale for the first time today and I am down 10lbs. Keeping busy and drinking is the key.
  8. Oops, forgot to say, I am down 10lbs.
  9. Hi Everyone!! I am on my 10th day out of14 days of my pre op diet. Monday is my surgery date. I really have been doing very good so far. The highlight of my day is SF pudding with protein in it. Today, I had SF white chocolate pudding with simply vanilla Matrix. I can have unlimited non starchy veggies. I love frying up mushroom and red onions. I dread Sunday the day before surgery, I can only have a breakfast and the rest of the day clear liquids; the I have to drink that horrible stuff citrate of magnesium at 3:00pm and stay near a bathroom at all times. Yikes! I have to be at the hospital at 5:00am (an hour away) and surgery time is 7:15am. How is everyone who already been sleeved this month??
  10. The protein I have been using is Unjury and Nectar and Matrix. Matrix so far is the best for me.
  11. I have been on my pre op diet since the 2nd, tomorrow will be one week, surgery the 16th. I have 2 protein shakes with milk and 2 protein shakes with water. The shakes with milk are okay but I am having trouble with the protein shakes with water, just not the same as the ones with milk. I can have unlimited non starchy veggies and chicken broth. I am tired of soup. One more week, I am sure I can get through, but I usually go to bed a little hungry. (I dreamt the other day, I cheated on my pre op diet!! I was glad it was only a dream!) I also can have sugar free pudding once a day and cream of wheat once a day. Hope everyone is getting through their pre op diet ok, if they started it.
  12. I was wondering if anyone knows the cheapest place online to buy Celebrate Vitamins, Iron and Cal? Thanks

  14. I am starting my pre op diet today, also! My surgery in in the states on Jan. 16th. Good luck and I am excited for you and me.
  15. Did your Celebrate protein samples have the multivitamin mixed in?? I am actually afraid to try them.
  16. LOL, Michelle! You are probably right.
  17. Heather I am so glad u asked about why some people switched at the last minute to the Rny. With my surgery date coming soon, I have been thinking about switching to the RNY because of my diabetes. My doctor said the Sleeve would be ok since I am not on insulin just meds. Honestly I am scared of the long staple line with the sleeve but on the hand, I do not want the malasorption issue with the bypass. There has been so many times that I picked up the phone to call my surgeons nurse but I would hang up before the call would finish ringing Wish I could make a decision and just stick with it. Can anyone offer any suuport.
  18. I am one that does not what a juggernaut is????
  19. My nutritionist told me to mix dry ranch dressing with nonfat plain greek yogert and use it as a veggie dip. I am hooked. I actually craved it. Weird, because I am one that does not like any kind of yogert at all.
  20. There must of been a glitch with the tickerfactory the other day, I inserted my tickerfactory today and it has worked just fine. Yeah!
  21. Question? I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I can not get my weight loss tickers to work with VST from tickerfactory.com. Any suggestions.
  22. Anyone else Jan. 16 (Monday)?
  23. My 2 week pre op diet consists of 4 protein shakes a day (2 with water and 2 with milk). Unlimited veggies from a list I was given. Then 6 choices from a list of 8 things (can't remember what they are now) tho I know oatmeal, V8 juice, light fat free yogert r on the list.
  24. Hi, I am scheduled for the sleeve on Jan. 16th. I have been a member since Nov. 2011 to this forum but my email and password was not working correctly anymore therefore I had to sign up as a new member. My old user name was jbauti5. Now I have to work on my profile again.
