To reach goal, I need to lose a total of 150. I have lost 80 at 6 month. The last 3 months have been slow. I wanted to have 100 lost by 4th of July, sadly I won't make that. The total includes my preo-op diet. I have lost a little over 50% to goal.

My surgery was 1/13 and I have lost 51 lbs. I only lost 4 last month. I stepped up my workouts and expect more this month, maybe 5 or 6. It has slowed down from those glorious early days of losing a pound a day...

Hi, I was averaging 10 lbs a month and down sixty by my sixth month. I don't think you are a slow loser.

WOW - I love reading others success! Weight loss sure does vary by person... it is hard to not get frustrated.. I feel like I am a slow loser too, then boom, in one week I lost 4 pounds, which makes my monthly loss look good! or good to me at least! I will take any loss I get!

My stats are below..just for the record.. I only weigh myself once a week, every Wed.. . Since the first Wed in June, I have not lost one single pound :( I was so hoping to hit the 250 Lb mark on my 6 month surgery date, but not going to make it.... thats o.k... I know what I am eating is in line, I know that I am kicking butt on exercising.. the weight will come off, I just need to keep on the right path. Good Luck to you, and dont be hung up on the scale...it can be frustating.

I will be 6 months out on July 3rd, I am currently 79 pounds down. I am working out pretty hard, it is true that the last 20 pounds are the hardest.

I've lost just over 80 pounds and i'm 6 months out. I've hit a rough patch this last few weeks - loss slowing right down. It's strange because I've been amping up the exercise. I have been on some medication lately that causes you to retain Water though so I'm hoping I don't slow down for long.

Don't get discouraged - focus on the future and good luck :)

Really can't remember anymore, but in 12 months i lost 150lbs, have been stablized at the same weight for 6 months and would like to lose about 20 - 30 lbs more. . . but if it doesn't happen, it doesn.t happen.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
