Louisiana Sleevers??!

Recommended Posts

Also it is a 4 hour minimal recovery time at the surgery center. They only send you home when you are perfectly ready.

That would concern me a bit. I had complications. I had internal v

Bleeding that was caught from bld work. I was in hhospital for 4 days. Don't want to scare u but id went undiagnosed it could have been bad. Just check for how he follows up. Bld work. Test etc. Do you have the drugs u need. How farfrom the hospital invade of emery. Just a few questions to think about and ask. Good luck.

I am from Central Louisiana and I have just started the process of getting approved by my insurance. We are waiting to hear back from Aetna. I sure wish this would move a little faster. I will be going down to Lake Charles to use Dr Shimer as my surgeon.

My husband is discouraging too. I will have mine in August. He won't come with me. He says it's not gonna work...and I'm gonna mess up my body and be in pain the rest of my life...but he refuses to educate himself. If anyone needs to not have complications' date=' it's me...cause I'm married to Debbie downer!![/quote']

Baton Rouge here, too! Just getting started with Aetna's hoop-jumping. I'm either using Brent Allain (my preference) or Jonathan Taylor (Aetna's preference). I have appointments with both in a couple of weeks.

I've got to be the world's most impatient person! All I can think of is this surgery and I'm ready to do it NOW. :P

And although my (naturally slim) husband is nervous about my having major surgery, he's very, very supportive. I see from some of your posts that your husbands aren't...that stinks and hopefully you'll find the support you need here. :)

Your doc is Merriman, so you're in Shreveport? That's where I'm from and most of my family is still there!

Where?!? I'm actually from Waskom but I usually just say Shreveport since nobody knows about my tiny home town. LOL

I haven't had surgery yet, but I'll have it hear in Baton Rouge. I've heard good things about Merriman though.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
