  8. Awesome I will take the car suggestions! That is pretty much my plan for the weekend I agree though- one meal would work for the whole of us! lol now to just agree on that one meal! lol I put wayyyyy too much thought into it when I join coworkers for meals or even friends because that means I will be eating that same exact meal for the next four meals! lol We can always meet for a meal somewhere to "get to know" everyone and then brainstorm on what to do next! This weekend is booked it seems. Personally I suck horribly at bowling lol but hey who doesn't need a good laugh once in a while? lol Checking out the halloween party expo now. Anything that gets me moving and not spending my whole check ( aka not the mall!) is a good thing!!
  9. Yes I think the taller we are the faster it seems to drop off! I went so fast from a size 24 down to a 16 it was amazing! Don't forget the Vitamins and exercise to help with skin and build up muscle! I've noticed a serious drop in "strength" since I can't put my "weight into it" anymore! lol
  10. I know my way around Sugarland very well! I love that part of Houston! BTW anyone know a good polace to get a used car in town? lol Preferably North Houston? hahaha

Me at the "begining" and now. Started July 30th 2010. and now its January 2012. Was at 316 lbs at my heaviest. Now I can't find my scale, but I think I am down to 150. I was for sure down to 170 on thanksgiving ( a friend has a scale) lol.
  12. Where does everyone live? As in what part of town so we can start coordinating something! I had my surgery in July of 2010 and just moved back to Texas 3 months ago. I live all the way north in Conroe but my best friend of 20 years just moved to League City. I have weekends off and need to get more active! I have no CLUE what there all is to do here in the city!
  13. Hi everyone! Did ya'll decide on anything?
  14. Hi everyone. Just moved into the Conroe area from Louisiana. Coming up on a year and a half now. Haven't found my scale so not sure of my weight but on last weighing at Thanksgiving I was down 146 pounds. I have gone down another 2 pant sizes since then and am trying to get more Protein in every day. I started a new job and work alot and would forget to eat. Where is everyone else from? Rebecca
  15. Yeah I am new to this website too.. it's cool you are so close!! Too bad about yahoo or MSN. After surgery I felt pretty good. I just had my gallbladder out 2 years before and I think that was way way worse recovery. I couldn't hardly get up! My recovery from this surgery was easy.. I was moving about and drinking my Protein shakes after day 2 no problem. I had a full 6 weeks off work because my job is in the oilfield and involves alot of stairs and heavy lifting which you can't do post survery.. If I had an office job I think I could have gone back to work in a week!! The hardest part I had to this day was having to crush my prescription medications and take them in powder form.. ( they were nasty) and that I couldnt guzzle Water or drinks anymore.. ( when its hot you just want to chug it, but cant). Otherwise, no issues!! Loving losing the weight.. I learned that you should just check the scale once a week and be pleasantly surprised other than every day because some days you dont lose anything and some days you lose a few pounds... so its best to just check like very Sunday as a weigh in day kind of thing and its awesome!!! Is there a chat on here? hmmm Rebecca
  16. Hi again, Yes I have been sleeved already and it was worth every penny. I am 3 months out now and have lost over 50 pounds. The first few weeks are hard because of the liquid diet but easy at the same time because you are NOT hungry. I still don't get hungry. It's just hard trying to get as much Protein in as you can during those weeks and having to take small sips. I did try and eat whole food too early...got a phone call and forgot to chew thoroughly.. that was not a nice feeling. Take things slow.. the pain was not bad at all. And the results are fantastic!!! Are you on yahoo or MSN> we can chat and talk more about it and I can help answer any questions you have before and after. I got my surgery done in Baton Rouge with Dr. Hausmann because 2 of my coworkers got it done by him 3 years ago and they swore by him. He is a great doctor and the hospital was very caring and understanding and helpful too. Find me on yahoo - I work all night. NINfem1 on yahoo Rebecca
  17. AWESOME!!! Great to meet you!!!!!!! Are you excited? nervous? Rebecca
  18. Come on Louisiana! Lets get together and talk!
  19. I am 35 almost *gulp* 36. I had my surgery 3 months ago and am loving it. The only thing i hated was not being able to chug drinks in the hot hot hot weather here in the south. Thankful its winter now down here! I've tried online dating and had my duds too. waiting for that special someone to come along.., trying not to LOOK for him but peeking occasionally. Do we tell them about our surgery to explain why we eat like birds and are losing weight so fast? Rebecca
