Mine took 1 hour, and I had a small hernia repair too.

Mine was about 35 minutes. I did not have a fatty liver or any complications/co-morbidities. My BMI was also 34.8 when I went in to surgery, so I guess I am a borderline 'low BMI' bandster. Everyone is different so please overestimate the time when you tell family/friends waiting for you. They will watch the clock and if you aren't done exactly when you said you would be they will be worried sick.

Mine was abt 50 minutes - but it was a cpl hours before I was awake enough to understand that my fam was there to visit me. I was inpatient tho so wasn't waiting on a ride.

Mine was half an hour, but I don't remember falling asleep at all. Felt like 10 seconds later I heard "we're done!"

My Doc said it was a hr and he did fix y hiatal hernia then they woke e up 30 in after , my mother had waited till she knew I was awake not alert just awake then I stayed one night in the hospital and she came and picked me up , but the surgery took a hour of course the initial waiting at the hospital for them to get me ready was about a half hour then they rolled me in gave me the med to put me to sleep was abot 10 in and that was it so it goes pretty quick .

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
