I am only a little two months post op and I've got 6 cc's in an 11cc band. We had a couple of days heatwave here in the northeast. I didn't notice any real difference...

I have 4.7 in a 10 band. My second fill was three weeks ago. The last week my band seems like it is getting tighter. I am not sure why. I am URPING with every meal. I am getting some taken out next week.

The heat alone doesnt affect my band but if its hot and i dont stay on top of drinking: hydration plays a huge factor . When you dehydrate it causes the stomach to swell causing the band to be tighter . In the summer heat yall you have got to make drinking your Water a must !!!!! A well hydrated banster is a happy banster .

I think the heat may have some play in our bands among with hydration issues. Laing down also makes my band tighter. It's 98 degrees in western Colorado earlier today, I'm also ready to start my period. So you can only imagine that my band and body isn't feeling great. Today I has a cup of coffee, white chicken chili, three tortilla chips, and a small bowl of frozen yogurt. For dinner...I just don't feel like eating. I had a bite of gouda cheese and lots of crystal light...not a great menu today. Tomorrow I'll do Protein drink and a brisk walk really early....ugghhhhhh. I don't Luke this "dry" heat...still hot!

I am having the same problem. I recently traveled to SC and it is hotter here than home and all of a sudden my Breakfast is not staying down and today my lunch didn't stay down. My body has producing so much slime! I usually have coffee in the morning and since I have been here I haven't and wonder if this is why I can't keep everythig down in the morning. Coffee warmed my band after sleeping. I think I need to do some mushy or liquid food because I feel like I am inflamed.

I live in TX & we have 100+ all summer. When it's that hot, even pre-band, it's not fun to eat. I focus on cool foods & Protein Shakes. It's too hot to cook! Gazpacho & back Beans are yummy! Good luck!

Not only heat gets me, but a storm came in early evening and I could feel it get tight. When I first went through this I thought I was crazy. I an 3 years into this and have 5.5cc in my 10cc band. I am tight in the mornings always, but more so with the heat. Yesterday I didn't feel the tightness and tried an omlete around noon. 2 great tasting bites and I was done. I wasn't able to try again until about 4 o'clock.

It might be humidity more than heat, that way it would explain it tightening in all different weathers ..I know a lot can experience tightness with altitude too ..

I walk at lunch with the temperature running in the high 90's and will have my lunch shortly after and have difficulty getting it down (tight band). I recently called my band doctor asking about hot weather and the band. Her response was that hot weather itself will not affect the band making it tighter, however, this was the answer and solution for me. I now have at least 8 oz. of Water after or during my walk and has eliminated the tightness, thus, it is caused by dehydration.

Cold weather, on the other hand, most definitely affects my band.

I live in Florida and it is HOT! I would agree that hydration is extremely important and seems harder since I got banded. After a week at the beach last week, I started running a low grade fever, and was having symptoms like a kidney infection. After hydrating and resting for a full day, I felt a whole lot better. I would suggest finding a way to take in more Water.< /p>

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
