Rabbits and Turtles United New Year Challenge

Hello Fellow Bandsters,,

Whatever catagory you feel you fit in, you are not alone. We are all on this WL Journey together!!!!

I wanted to start thinking about next week. The new year has always aspired me to make commitments and try to do new and different thing. So I bring this to you all to help develop another challenge with a combination of other challenges so loved by all.

NSV and Weight in one post.

First Start Date, January 3,2006

End Date March 1,2006

Challenge is to list on the same post 1 new NSV (non scale victory) each week along with your WL stats. It would be helpful to date your entries.

The reasoning is to keep all your stas and NSV in one place for you and others who are cheering you on to follow. By going back and editing/updating your orginal post we would be back to basic each log in. Rememberng the whys and our accomplishments each week. Something I know I forget sometimes. By the end of the challenge we should have a great idea of how it's going and a quick reference to where we need to be.

If you are not yet banded - please join in and tracking your goals and accomplishments as well.

This WL thing is truly a team sport and together we can acomplish more!

ROAR!!!!

Any thoughts, changes suggestions??? We have a week or so to refine it.

COuld one of the moderators please sticky this?

Debby

I haven't lost anything since Oct 15 and have gained two pounds but at least its only 2 - so I guess that's a kind of victory.

NSV - Went out to a party.

I have started journaling everything - as of yesterday. At least I will be confessing my mistakes.

01/03/06 - 291

01/10/06 - 287 (-4)

01/17/06 - 288 (+1)

01/24/06 - 289 (+1)

01/30/06 - 284 (-5)

NSV: wore a brand new pair of jeans (brought them too small as motivation) that I had in my closet for about 4 yrs...fit perfectly:)

nothing lost, nothing gain! first fill was last Thursday doesn't feel any different

1/3 200

1/8 202

1/16 199

1/26 198

1/30 198

No weight change.

NSV: In the regular economy section of an airplane this weekend, the tray table didn't touch me when I took it down. I used to have to lean my seat back so that I could bring it down all the way and it still hit my belly.

Gosh, I have been so sporadic.... But I had another NSV - at least I think it was an NSV.

A co-worker asked me if I had lost weight. Basically, I have cheekbones again - which she noticed.

:]

1/3/16 214 lbs

1/31/06 212 lbs

2/2/06 210 lbs

I am not doing so hot on the loss. I even had a tiny refill up to 1.5 ccs. Hmmm.

NSV- I have had at least 6 different people ask if I am losing weight this week. I havent even lost that much but I think it makes a lot of difference in my size and looks. I know that putting on that last 15-20 lbs took about a year and really was the final straw,,, flat out looked FAT, face and eyes looked fat and puffy, started hiding under loose shirts (trying to, lol).

NSV 2- this one is the BIG ONE!!! I have been given the okay to start cutting my Actos in half, only 15mg now. With the lower carb intake my doctor thinks I will be fine on lower dose now. We'll see, but blood sugars have been really good for weeks!

I had to edit this because the very day after this post I hit 210 and again the next day 210. I had been seeing 210-212 but didnt believe it yet, lol!

Hmm I thought I lost but I guess not lol. Saw the scale thought I lost a pound but looked at my ticker and nope.

NSV: Finally got the approval for my surgery ;)

This week I was down 1.5 pounds ~ 242

NSV - I was able to raise the speed on the treadmill a little.

1/4/06

1/16/06

Weight = 229 (-5)

NSV(s): 1) My mother-in-law came to visit this past weekend and called me a "skinny minnie!" 2) I can now fit comfortably (with room to spare) in those plastic, stackable patio chairs.

1/23/06

Weight = 228 (-1)

NSV: I FINALLY had to break down and buy new size 20 clothing because I was tired of my old clothes falling off of me.

1/30/06

Weight = 226 (-2)

NSV: I had to move the seat in my vehicle closer to the steering wheel because my butt isn't so big anymore.

2/6/06

Weight = 221 (-5)

NSV(s): 1) Our female bowling league partner told me this past Tuesday that I had a nice butt. :) P.S. She wasn't hitting on me. LOL

2) I fit into and purchased a pair of size 18 shorts.

SV: 4 more pounds and I'm halfway to my goal!! :biggrin1:

Posting today since I probably won't find time tomorrow. Down another 2 lbs!

Start: 240

Now: 232

NSV for the week? I managed to talk myself out of junk food binges a couple of times. I still need work in this area, and in just eating smaller portions at meals.

Hope everyone had a great week. Go Seahawks!!:flypig:

start: 1/3/06 210 lbs

1/8/06 205 lbs (-5)

1/15/06 205 lbs (0)

1/22/06 203 lbs (-2)

1/29/06 205 lbs (+2) I had a bad week this week... binge eating...

2/5/06 204 lbs (-1)

total: -6

Goal met! I exercised 5 days last week.

NSV: I was able to finish the entire TAE-BO exercise video (before, I could only do about 10-15 minutes)

Next goal: increase exercise time from 30 min per day to 40 min per day -- 5 days per week.

1/03: 211 Exercised between 45 and 60 mins everyday this past week.

1/09: 209 -2 Went from Morbidly Obese to just Obese!!!!

1/16: 207 -2 Road my bike for the first time for 6 miles!

1/23: 207 0 I noticed yesterday when changing my son's bedding that I wasn't huffin and puffin my guts out. It was like no effort at all to manhandle his mattress.

1/30: 205 -2 I had a clothing swap on Sat. and I didn't try anything on, I just collected what I wanted. I finally tried everything on last night and I got into most of the 18s that I took and even a few 16s!!!

2/06: 203 -2 Huge NSV this week!! I took the kids to the park and I actually played with the kids. Chased them over the verticle monkey bars. I felt so much lighter! It felt great!!!!

starting weight = 305

current weight = 290

total weight loss = -15 bs.

NSV = I got rid of more clothes that were too big this week!

No change in weight.

I suppose it's kind of an NSV that I am having my teeth fixed. My weight is still my top priority, but I'm to the point where I can focus on other things that need work.
