Rabbits and Turtles United New Year Challenge

Hello Fellow Bandsters,,

Whatever catagory you feel you fit in, you are not alone. We are all on this WL Journey together!!!!

I wanted to start thinking about next week. The new year has always aspired me to make commitments and try to do new and different thing. So I bring this to you all to help develop another challenge with a combination of other challenges so loved by all.

NSV and Weight in one post.

First Start Date, January 3,2006

End Date March 1,2006

Challenge is to list on the same post 1 new NSV (non scale victory) each week along with your WL stats. It would be helpful to date your entries.

The reasoning is to keep all your stas and NSV in one place for you and others who are cheering you on to follow. By going back and editing/updating your orginal post we would be back to basic each log in. Rememberng the whys and our accomplishments each week. Something I know I forget sometimes. By the end of the challenge we should have a great idea of how it's going and a quick reference to where we need to be.

If you are not yet banded - please join in and tracking your goals and accomplishments as well.

This WL thing is truly a team sport and together we can acomplish more!

ROAR!!!!

Any thoughts, changes suggestions??? We have a week or so to refine it.

COuld one of the moderators please sticky this?

Debby

last week was a good week for NSV's but not such a good week on the weight front. Here is my progress to date

Start weight 355

Current weight 355

Change 0 (Actually went up 2.5 and back down)

NSV Worked out 6 days for an hour ran continuously for 22 minutes

Waring a pair of old pants that were new but was unable to wear before. Waist loose 48 down from tight 54

Cograts to all on all of the good work during week one

Weigh in this week - 186;-)

Down 3 lbs!!! Woohooo!

NSV - I am beginning to see the light at the end of this tunnel (weight loss) I've been in for so long!

I am feeling that I can really make this happen - FINALLY! I can't wait to be thin - wow, did I really say that??

Absolutely, I WILL be thin!!!!!

1/4/06

Weight = 236

NSV: I bought a size 18/20 belt to hold up my too loose size 22 pants.

1/9/06

Weight = 234 (-2)

NSV: I was able to fit into a misses size 20 pants at Old Navy.

I've stuck to 1200 calories. Now I can't keep my wedding ring on straight because the diamond keeps sliding around to my palm side. I've been wearing this ring for over 7 years, and it's never slid around before.

1/2/06

Weight - 244

NSV - Tagging my 24's for a future yard sale!!

1/9/06

Weight - 244 (also last week and week before) I go for my 1st fill on Friday, so maybe my weight will actually change for the week after next!!!

NSV - my daughter (8 years old) walks with me everyday. Yesterday, she was tired before I was!!!!!

1/9/06: Weight 221 (up 1 lb)

NSV: I exercised twice this past week (for 45 minutes each time). For me, that's pretty good! :)

Weight, unknown.

NSV - when DH asked me to take him to Sonics for Ice Cream, I SAID NO. And I ate raw veggies for snack on Sunday, instead of chips.

1/3/06 214 lbs

1/9/06 214 lbs havent lost one single pound..

NSV....Took my measurements and I have lost 3 inches in my waist since banding!!!! Also either walked, rode recumbent, or worked out EVERY day!

1/3 - 305

1/9 - 298

NSV - Took all of my Christmas down & put it away. Organized my storage closet.

NSV - I did not eat any junk food this week!!

somethings not right wt up 2 lbs.. first fill Jan 26

wt 202

nsv.. down from a 2 x uniform top to a large

1/3=272

1/10=272

Didn't lose but for me:

NSV = I didn't gain this week lol The choices I made weren't the best but, I didn't over do it :)

Alrighty,

Not weight change this week.

NSVs: 1. I bought a NON STRETCH pair of Jeans from the Jr's department in a size 16 and they fit perfectly. No "w" either! 2. I wear the smallest size shirt that Torrid sells. I bought a really cute shirt from there the other day in a "0" (probably a 16/18?). It 'fits' instead of being baggy, which is also kind of an NSV because I usually don't wear things that 'fit' because some how if your shirt doesn't hug your fat rolls, other people don't know they are there or something, LOL.

"because some how if your shirt doesn't hug your fat rolls, other people don't know they are there or something"~Miramu

I hear ya!!! Funny how we think isn't it?

Just got back from DC, don't know what my weight is, and furthermore, I don't care.

I have a whole string of NSVs, the very most important one is that I went to DC WITHOUT AN INHALER. What's more, I didn't even need it. This is super significant because this time last year, and for several years prior, I couldn't go anywhere without at least 2 inhalers on my person. I had an inhaler in every single piece of clothing that had a pocket. Last year this time I had spent 10 days of the Christmas vacation in hospital, don't know how many trips to the various ERs.

I didn't even realize that I didn't have an inhaler until the puddle jumper from Salt Lake to Pokey, AFTER my trip was almost done.

very tired. must sleep now.
