Rabbits and Turtles United New Year Challenge

Hello Fellow Bandsters,,

Whatever catagory you feel you fit in, you are not alone. We are all on this WL Journey together!!!!

I wanted to start thinking about next week. The new year has always aspired me to make commitments and try to do new and different thing. So I bring this to you all to help develop another challenge with a combination of other challenges so loved by all.

NSV and Weight in one post.

First Start Date, January 3,2006

End Date March 1,2006

Challenge is to list on the same post 1 new NSV (non scale victory) each week along with your WL stats. It would be helpful to date your entries.

The reasoning is to keep all your stas and NSV in one place for you and others who are cheering you on to follow. By going back and editing/updating your orginal post we would be back to basic each log in. Rememberng the whys and our accomplishments each week. Something I know I forget sometimes. By the end of the challenge we should have a great idea of how it's going and a quick reference to where we need to be.

If you are not yet banded - please join in and tracking your goals and accomplishments as well.

This WL thing is truly a team sport and together we can acomplish more!

ROAR!!!!

Any thoughts, changes suggestions??? We have a week or so to refine it.

COuld one of the moderators please sticky this?

Debby

Okay, I got to ID, and my scale, and, well. Crap. My weight is 244, again, not 235. This sucks. I'm back the same place I was in July.

Okay so my official starting weight was 305. I have already lost 5 lbs!

My NSV - I actually folded clothes today! (hated it! hated it! hated it!)

1/1/06 ~ 3/1/06 LBT WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE LIST OF FABULOUS PRIZES!

Due to my doctors office getting overwhelmed with patients. I will not get weighed again til march. So....i haven't posted in a while because of this..

02/15/2006 got weighed...Lost 5.5 wooohoo..Have 2.5 lbs to go for challange.. :) NSV..I have hope again...

OK, I think I've got it now.

Starting weight - 256

(what I weighed a couple of days ago when this challenge was issued, and I accepted -)

Goal Weight on March 1, 2006 - 244 pounds

= 12 pounds down or 1.5 pounds for almost 8 weeks - (Barely enough to keep me from being disqualified as a bunny, and just enough to avoid qualification to join the turtle club)

Recent GIANT NSV -

In Winter of 2004, I went skiing with my CEO. I was in such bad shape that I had to make up excuses when I could only last two runs. (knees, goggles fogging up, can't see, boots hurt, etc.)

Yesterday, (one year later) I did over 15 runs with him, kept up, and would have loved to continued skiing, except the lift closed! My, what an amazingly beautiful day, and wonderful experience to be able to ski again!

What's more, I looked up the caloric consumption of a day's skiing. Figuring half the time was on the lift and half the time was spent skiing, I still burned 2,200 calories. ;) BURN IT, BABY!!! :banana

See you all on the other side of the scale on March 1, and GOOD LUCK!!!!

Delarla, I guess I didn't commit as commted as I thought I was! I need commited - hehe! Did anyone get that?? I have confused myself!

Oh, I remember, please add me to your wonderful list!

Weight as of 1/4 - 244, my goal is to make it to 225 by the end of the challenge!!!

Thanks dear! I apologize for the confusing note, but I had a piece of cake (first pure sugar crap since surgery), and it's killer late here!! Forgive me??

Wow, look at that hottie picture, vinesqueen!! WOOT WOOT!

You go girl!

I haven't been on much lately, so I'm just getting around to posting. I gained back 2 lbs and am struggling.

Start weight: 240

Goal by March 1: 224

NS Goal by March 1: size 20 jeans fit comfortably (size 22's just started fitting in Dec)

What I need to do:

* Stop overeating

* Get in all my Water every day

* Exercise

And I know if I start with the Exercise, the other two will follow. I just need a good kick in the pants.

On the plus side, I'm being really productive at work AND doing a great job of decluttering the house and preparing for a year of construction and remodeling. So there's other stuff going on. I just need to spend less time online & watching TV so I can focus on the weight loss too.

hey girls and boys...here is my NSV for this week

I GOT A JOB!!!!!

Now they will not reposses my life from me haha

not going to say anything about weight here...just NSV for today

start: 1/3/06 210 lbs

1/8/06 205 lbs (-5) -- I totally got back on track this week!

NSV- my supervisor hadn't seen me in two weeks (over the holidays) and she said My God, you're getting smaller! I hadn't lost any additional weight between Christmas & New Years, so that really made me feel good and realize that even though you're not losing pounds, you're probably losing inches! That being said, here's NSV #2

NSV 2- I bought a pair of pants just before Christmas and I hadn't worn them until one day last week I wore them to work. They fit looser.

NSV 3- I moved down one BMI category (from severely obese to obese)

I assume checkins will be Mondays as in previous challenges? I'll check in tonight since I weighed in this morning and don't know if I'll have a chance to be on tomorrow.

Start: 240

Now: 236

NSV for the week: I got off my butt and exercised 2x last week. As I had stopped exercising over the holidays, it's great for me to get moving again.

My other NSV unrelated to banding: I made great progress on my decluttering goals AND on one of my goals at work. :banana

I lost two pounds this week and have a super NSV!

1/03: 211 Exercised between 45 and 60 mins everyday this past week.

1/09: 209 Went from Morbidly Obese to just Obese!!!!

I weighed my self recently at home and the scale said 371.5(butt nakid). This is my weight watchers scale so I weighed my self at work and it said I was 375 so I finally made some sort of progress and was happy about that until I ran into a coworker who was told by another co-worker that I had surgery too and she says she had gastric bypass and I told her I have the band. She informed me that she lost 64 lbs in 9 weeks and when I said I have lost 45 in a year she looked shocked like that's all but she has 300-400 to lose I only have 100-150 to lose which one is better. I am still happy for her though and glad she is finally feeling good about herself but she has motivated me to get myself in gear it is just some friendly compitition

Great NSV's everyone!!!!!!!

As for the scale: My scale is wacked it said I was 171,183,183 all with in a few minutes so I do delclare (for fear of being disappointed later) No weight loss for me.

181 and holding (I think)

NSV:

1-My size 12 jeans are getting loose, noticed this morning - I'm thrilled

2- ab chair 3x this week

3-Better control this week over the chocolate demons.

1/10/2005 weight 179 (yes, I'm gaining)

NSV - exercised every day last week

NSV - started getting the bathroom and spare bedroom fixed up - paint, tile, floor, etc

nsv - my fill dr said I am losing fat around my port - making it easier to access.
