Surgery tomorrow morning at 7:15AM

Recommended Posts

So tomorrow is my surgery. I have to be there at 5:15AM for 7:15 surgery. I'm sooo excited I could jump out of my skin. I feel like I've been waiting this for such a long time.

I know that this is not going to be a quick fix for me to lose this weight. This Lap Band is going to be used as a tool to help me. It took me some time to put on this weight, it will take just as long or longer to take it off.

I'm getting the surgery done by Dr. Paul Enochs of Cary Surgical Specialists of North Carolina. I'm very impressed with his work as I've done a lot of research on him. I actually work at the same hospital I'm having my surgery done at.

I want to personally say thank you to those that have helped me in the pre-operation msg board with any questions/concerns that I've had in the past. I can't believe I'm soon going to be post-op!!! Yay!!!

As I going through this journey I've documented it by using youtube as a video journal. Please check it out and subscribe if you can. -- YouTube - jlind4023's Channel

Much love!!!

Best of luck tomorrow morning!!! :cool2: Let us know how it went when you feel up to it!

Thanks. I'm doing alright. Lots of bad gas. My stomach feels hard as a rock and kinda swollen. Taking Loritab for the pain and GasX for the gas. Have done a lot of walking to try to get rid of the pain from the gas. Woke up this morning in much stronger pain then yesterday. Do they often say the second day is the worst?

Anyway, I did document my surgery day if you would like to visit --

Thanks for asking!

The second day was the worst for me. I didn't have gas, but nausea/diarrhea. On the 3rd day I felt 100x better. I hope it's the same for you. Just hang in there!

Yeah I'm coming upon the second day.. Bad pain on the site of the incision. Bad gas pain. No nausea/diarrhea though. I'm actually constipated. I hope tomorrow is a better day. Thanks!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
