Thinking of getting a Band? READ THIS

Let's have a moment of silence in honor of Miss Michelle. I realize we've all congratulated her again, but I think this picture needs a little more attention.

I'm sorry for the fuzzy quality, but these were Michelle's pants last year. If you are thinking of getting the band, or if you are a worried Newbie, just keep looking at this picture.

Yes, it's a huge and frightening decision, and it's a big gamble. People DO have some major complications, port infections, erosion, etc. But look at Michelle. Just look at her!

Michelle and I have been through bumpy times together, but I think this girl deserves a standing ovation. Not only has she lost 100 pounds with her band, but she's always here for us. MICHELLE, I'M STANDING UP TYPING. BIG, HUGE, ENORMOUS, CRY BABY ROUND OF APPLAUSE AND THANKS TO YOU FOR ALL YOU ARE, AND ALL YOU DO.

Much Love, Lis

It was simply amazing witnessing that moment! I tell my friends & mom often about Michelle's pants & transformation. Way to go girl!

Awesome Job Michelle!!! You have been a great inspiration for me since I came to LBT. I am having my surgery on the 20th and just knowing that you and so many others have done it and so many more are on their way to reaching their goals is a great motivator for me. You are absolutely beautiful!!! --Jo

Congratulations for your success!!! i just pray to walk on your shoes soon!

-100 aaaahh yeahhh huge success!! Bravo Michelle!

Lisa thanks for this thread. My surgery is 2 weeks away and I am scared to death. I'm not scared of the band, I'm not scared of the surgery pain, I'm not scared of PBing, I'm not scared of not being able to eat as much. I'm scared of not waking up after surgery, I'm AM scared of dying and leaving my little girl motherless ;) I'm all teary eyed just writing this... (gosh I hope my boss doesn't walk out right now lol..I'm such a baby lol).

BUT !! I am not healthy, I am not active, I can't even ride a bike with my girl and its not getting better, being this fat is killing me physically and emotionally, so I know I have to do this. I want to be healthy even though I'm scared. Call it silly but its very very real to me.

Lisa, again, thank you so much for this thread, it really made me feel good today.

MICHELLE !!!! Thank you so much for being here and letting us be a part of your wl journey. It means alot to me to see progress, it gives me hope, hope I haven't had in years and years. CONGRATULATIONS !!!!

Love, Eileen
