Aug 4!!

I started the liquid diet yesterday and so far so good. Although tonight I experienced my first case of nerves. All of a sudden I thought, "OMG, I'm really doing this. I'm going to have this device in me forever." Then I thought, yes I am and it's no different then a knee replacment to help someone walk. Just like knee pain keeps someone from fully living life and hurts them, the weight hurts me and keeps me from living life to the fullest. This calmed me down and put things in prespective.

Wish me luck!

I hope to have an Aug. date!! :) I have been considering LapBand for about a year... But because of finances have never been able to have it. Well, due to my PTC and CHiari, I have met my yearly max and my insurance has to pay 100%! THe catch is, my calendar year starts over Sept. 1. So, I have to get approved, pre-oped and banded by then! My docator says he can make it all happen, so long as the insurance doesn't drag their feet!:) So here's hopin'!

My surgery date is August 13th, I also work in a modified school calendar year and we are already backto school. I am excited also but afraid in the same breath. I have been thinking about how many days I will have to be off work. I was shooting for July but ended up with Aug. I am just so happy to be getting this done.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
