March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Recommended Posts

Woohooo!!!!

And, for Texgirl, Yeeeehawwww!!!!

Well done, all of ya! All of us!

Cathy and Christine, hang in there. You'll get the restriction you need, but don't use that as an excuse for taking it easy on yourself, or worse, don't start feeling sorry for yourself that you don't already have the restriction that others are already enjoying. (Somehow I assume that other people share my overeating triggers, like self-pity, and an ability to rationalize eating too much "just for a little while"!). Keep a sharp eye on how much you're eating, and ask yourself why you're allowing yourself to gain weight. You can't let disappointment with your band actually drive your weight up!

You're going to get there...!!!

And A-dub? The trick to my impressive weight loss is to start at a weight so high that it's almost incompatible with life! Your weight loss is every bit as impressive for coming off a smaller frame.

Also: I'm really pushing it with the walking - I burned over 5,000 calories yesterday, and I reach similar numbers most days. Of course, as I get smaller, my burn rate will go down...

Jiminy Christmas! According to the tread mill at the gym I walk for an hour in my target heart rate and burn 150 calories. Kinda makes me look at those hundred calorie packs a little different.

Sigh, it sure feels good!

Think I'll Celebrate with a yoplait!

W O O H O O !!!

I don't want to rain on your parade but maybe celebrating with food is not that great a reward. IMHO:embaressed_smile: (flamesuit on)

Love is love! Take it where you can get it!

Unless you're married, then you should probably be a bit more careful.

Harley, congrats again - I remember how good I felt when I entered threenderland as if it were only last week!

Which it actually was.

Actually, the only reason I said that was because I was getting ready to eat Breakfast and it was a yoplait!! I wasn't really celebrating! I haven't figured out a 'real' reward.....it was said more sarcastically than anything!

CONGRATULATIONS ALL!!!!

It's a little ironic that last night I was working on my weight log and figuring my BMI and found that I too am no longer morbidly obese!! I have slipped into the severly obese category. Haven't been there in over 15 years at least! It was and is a great feeling! :wink2:

went to the DR today, expecting to get a fill, but nope. Dr thought i had enough restriction for now. I have trouble eating more than a few bites of chicken, and start to feel lousy, and have been losing # per week. So she is the DR and I will take her cue. At least now I am not on ,liquids for 2 days and can enjoy the kiddie amusement park with my grandson tomorrow..even though i will watch what i eat I can have a few thing that are typical fun food.. a bit or 2.. no more

Hoping to be in onederland in just a few weeks.

Wow Harley! Magnificent work!

So, my shrinking shamrocks, at nearly 3 months out for most of us (three months to the DAY for Fenton and I), we are really starting to kick ass and take names!

Let's all keep up the good work, and we'll be slimmer, sexier and more seductive before we know it!

Not that we're not sexy now! Woohoo!

AND most importantly (how could I forget....)

We'll be HEALTHIER!

Here's to Shamrock Pride!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
