Up 3 more pounds, got a fill of 1.2 cc's, feel restriction now, so hopefully I can detox and get back on board, need to finish my Edy's sf 1/2 fat icecream first haha.

I'd do the sleeve in a heart beat over the band..... Only if the band was no longer an option.

Sorry your having so many problems - They say the band can cause issues for some and not others. If it were me I'd go right to the sleeve if the band was not going to be replaced during the surgery.

Rock on girl - I wish you much support and good wishes.

Congrats on getting approved. Keep your band if you can but if you can't then definately go with the gastric sleeve.

Val, you should also talk to people who have had the grastric sleeve and see how they like it. Also, do as much research as you can so that you'll make the best decision for you.

i have done that, most of them have had the band and are very happier that they now have the sleeve. it seems kind of drastic. the question comes up if he cant do the band...hopefully he will be able to do the band, thats really what id prefer

I love my band - It can be fickle at times like Tue. I had a slight fill .50 CC @ 8:15am and was fine until 1:00 when after 2 sippings of Water nothing would go down and it felt like I swallowed a sponge type super ball. Called and was back in to be slightly unfiled at 2:30.

But if I couldn't have my first choice of WLS the band any longer I'd be looking at the Sleeve because with out WLS I'd be as big as I was before surgery. I can lose weight just can't keep it off longer than 6 months once I hit a point. After losing 150 lbs I've always felt to confortable and would Celebrate with food and go back to my crazy old habits.... Sink into a funk and throw in the darn towel and say what the hell and eat my way back to being so big again. Ugh - I'm so glad that's the old me now....... I love losing it slow and easy as I'm really adjusted to living with what choices of food I have and what my portions can be now... It really did take a long time to do that honestly...... I bet the first 18 month to 2 years for me to finally allow it to sink in this is your life now so JUST DO IT!! Now it's a full on way of normal life for me to eat 1/2 cup or just taking 2 tablespoons of something here or there. Before It was a scoop of this or that and waste was a big thing after a meal. I don't even bother to order out anymore. I go out with family and they all know before eating to ask me what would I like off their plates - it's great I don't waste food or money and still enjoy every outting.

Well I rambled enough - Rock on my bandster family - Rock on!!

Oh and I wanted to say to that I gave myself a goal of 5 years to lose the weight of 240 lbs. So I thnk I can do this as I'm almost half way...... Dec. 2012

hey guys

How are you all doing? It is raining so i'm forced to stay home and am lazy as can be today.

New job is great, but I'm exhausted all the time. When I'm not working, I started dating the perfect inbetween guy. We have dinner 2-3 times a week, at my house or his with my kids or without, he is going to be leaving when the job is done, and I'm ok with that, I think, but we are having such a great time. He has a harley and we go riding whenever we can, and he slept here thurs and i stayed with him last night.

YIKES, I think I'm learning what life is about. He is very healthy, and we do not eat junk. I am actually down to 173 this am. Lowest ever

I just ordered a new Water aerobics cd so I hope to start that next week and get down to 150, my goal weight and possibly tone up a bit

other than that, not much else going on, don't even go out to the bar anymore. I might be growing up. BOUt TIME

anyway

miss ya'll

I know I would be too... I now I have not been very out here since my band... Even my family say I'm not as social... Perhaps since food was always so involved... So learning to be more so with out the food. Geez so many new ways to live better.... And be out there.

So I'd like to come if I'm welcome........

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
