I'm certainly not offended, Nina, as a matter of fact, may I say you have a lovely derriere! ;) I'd like to see a close up of your tattoo, too!

If anyone is easily offended, we probably already chased them off with all the talk about hair removal of the nether regions and the effects of weight loss and ps on the male unit! I can't think of anything better to take our minds off of major surgery than talking about our naughty bits, LOL.

I have just looked at your piccies and I have to return the compliment *wolf whistle*

I will get my dh to take a picture of my tattoo, I love it, it has yin/yang to represent me and DH in the fire of our love, and six stars for the kids, all very sentimental ;)

Do you have any tattoos?

It didnt hurt at all, just felt like a bit of sunburn while it was being done.

No tattoos, yet, but I will get one sometime in the next year. I promised myself one after reaching goal weight, but now I want to wait until after the ps. Maybe I'll get one for my 49th bday in October.

Nina, no offense here for sure.

As for the 1 inch per 30 pounds, not sure about that particular ratio, but if its not TMI, I can sure tell the difference and am quite happy about it ;)

LMAO off @ Neal!!! Bet your wife is pretty happy too!

I am very impressed that you have put your pictures up.

It must be a bit of a nightmare sometimes with us all chattering on about 'girly' things. I was talking to my DH about getting him a band and he said that he is just to worried about all of the blokes that we know ripping him for it. Was that something that you encountered? He mentioned his weight the other day and one of his 'friends' told him to stop eating so much and get his arse off the couch!

You are going to look amazing after the op, you are the ideal candidate!

I have just been posting on a PS board and people there were fairly negative about me getting the op at this stage, I understand what they are saying but I think that it will make a huge difference ( especially with 7 litres of lipo!) and that it will spur me on to reach goal. I really truly dont think that my skin will sag if I lose more weight after the TT. I have been lucky so far when you consider the sag that I have is a result of having 6 pregnancies I dont think it is too bad ( ehem) well you know what I mean.

Sorry to moan it has just negged me out a bit, they were all saying things like 'be realistic about the results that you want', is that polite speak for ' you too fat to even consider doing this '????

No worries ;) the girly things don't bother me at all. I haven't had any negative reactions from others, at least to my face. lol You know, I did this for me and no one else. I am doing PS for the same reason - for myself, to make me feel better about me. I tell anyone and everyone and am ok with that.

Did you notice our ticker in in days now instead of months and weeks! Getting ever so closer

:biggrin:I know!!! I noticed that today!!!;)

I am back in Lyon on Tuesday for my pre-op/final consult and I was thinking that by the time I get back ( I have to travel for 4 days, fly from here on Monday to Manchester, and then from there the day after to Lyon, same in reverse on the way back!!) there will be only 3 weeks before I fly out again and that time for the op!!

I wish that DH had that attitude, but his mates are very blokey and just couldnt get their heads around it, he sees it as a weakness to get the band, I see it as a weakness to eat the food!

I told friends on another board that I would *not* post "before ps" pics until I have "afters" to compare to, but if you guys are brave enough, then I am, too!

The good:

The bad (port bulge & frowny belly button!):

And the ugly:

The bent-over front view:

The "lift and see what it might be like after ps" view:

And last, but not least, the "butt puddle":

Hi everyone,

It's nice to see a Feb/Mar PS thread! I'm going for breast augmentation/brachioplasty in either February or March, I don't have a date yet. I'm going to post before/after pics, I'm a little worried about that, but I also COMPLETELY appreciate PS pics that are posted on here so I feel like I should share. Thanks for starting this thread!

Tami! Looking great. Look at those guns!

I am going to get another tat after my PS. I had a freind on another board draw it up for me. Kind of cheesy, but its a Phoenix to sybolize my rizing from the ashes. Probably going to add a little color to the head and tail:

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL
