My birthday weekend the Win: enjoying eating out without thinking it's over! I credit a lot of my weight loss success ...really rapid weight loss to eating Whole Foods, meal prepping, and for the past year and about two or three months, I didn't eat out at any restaurant. Well, I said I don't know if I can live like that the rest of my life so let me try to eat out....so I went to pluckers, pluckers has five wings on the menu. I love it. You don't have to get 10 wings.

I still have a food addiction/binge eating habits. I still follow the abstinence model in eating. I don't eat any bread, white sugar, cakes, cookies, pies, etc. I still have to be strict but I said I'm gonna eat these damn wings.

Low carb cookworks or worx used to be a show on tv years ago and I remember they made everything low carb and had a recipe for oven baked wings that I tried and they were surprisingly pretty good. Admiringly I had never made wings at home before so I have no clue if they are usually baked or where the carbs even come from but if they are high in carbs and you love them, perhaps with a little googling you can find that recipe.

Thanks I make dupes of everything. I'm a great cook so you all watch out for my bariatric cookbook. I have made wings many times. I'm still working on different recipes.I just was like it's my damn birthday weekend and I'm going to treat myself!

Ladies what has you all wins been for the week?

Well I was driving my car on 95 and realized I needed to move the seat up AGAIN!! I couldn’t reach the steering wheel comfortably and didn’t realize it until I drove a little distance since I usually don’t drive far. I had to grab my towel from yoga bag and put behind me to push me forward until I could pull off and figure out how to adjust the seat again.

1) i didn't weigh myself for like a month (busy, was away, etc) and when i finally did, i was basically the same weight as my last recorded weight. i now bub myself the Maintenance Master, lol.

2) i totally did an un-assisted, no-wall backup, kick-to-headstand the other day and am super proud.

3) going on vacay for 2.5 weeks soon and ALL my clothes are so small that they all fit in a single carry-on.

4) Mr. carried me up the stairs (baby-style, not fireman-style, lol) last week cuz i was hammered...and told me the next morning it was as easy as carrying an ACTUAL baby lololzzzz.

5) and finally, the best WIN, in my opinion: i feel great, i love life, and i am up for anything.

Going through my jewellery (gracious, how styles have changed over the years) and discovered a Swarovski hinged bangle my parents bought me for Christmas many, many years ago. It had never fit & I should have exchanged it at the time but never did. Surprise, surprise it now fits if a little big as it swings around a bit.

Well, this isn’t entirely a happy thing but it could be much worse if I was 100 pounds heavier. I went to ortho doc expecting them to put me on meds or shots for arthritis that presented after my treatment but instead I left there on crutches because I fractured something in my knee 😩. Since I’m still gaining back the strength in my arms from after a mastectomy, the crutches are not fun at all BUT, at least I am quite a bit lighter because I imagine I would be in a wheelchair if I was trying to hobble around at the size I was before. Still waiting for results of CT to see just how bad. Cross your fingers for me that it’s not too serious.

Today's Win: I finished my gym routine even though I was pissed.... before this bariatric journey and this mindset shift, I would've got pissed and went home and ate my emotions..... Story Time: So I'm trying to sell my car because It has minor front end damage and I'm on Facebook marketplace and people are like oh I want to buy the car and keeps flaking out. I was mid barbell rep when the guy who's supposed to buy my car Saturday, text me he was like "oh I gotta work. I can't come Saturday"........ before my bariatric journey, I would've got pissed and went home and ate my frustrations. I'm so proud of myself, I finished all my sets then I ended in the dry sauna doing my full routine And it's just I'm so proud that this bariatric journey has taught me to self regulate my emotions because I can no longer eat them things sometimes don't go as planned and I've learned so many new skills. It's a beautiful, beautiful win.

ThanksGiving Win: My Thanksgiving win was I ate what I wanted, but I didn't get overly full and I didn't binge eat. This is the first year. I actually ate things from my abstinence menu. I eat on the abstinence model due to my food addictions and since my surgery a year and seven months ago on a typical day, I do not eat any pasta, starch, cookies, bread, pies, refined sugar etc. This year I ate all those things and was fine, did not spiral down to the abyss of hell 😂😂.

Omg ladies are we still winning?!! I have not posted a WIN in a while. Let's see a win is continuing the work of bariatrics, I have to say it's hard but it's real and I just push through!

Well my win lately is keeping up with my nutrition as best as possible with an insane schedule. Lots of medical apps and meds that make me crave bad stuff are real obstacles right now and I slip….a lot, but I don’t beat myself up. I get right back on that horse so to speak and control what I can which is from that moment forward instead of just thinking I ruined it all and going back to the old ways of just thinking I can’t do it and giving up. A slip is just that…a slip and it doesn’t mean we can’t get back on track. So weird that this is so difficult for some of us to believe.
