Omg my surgery is tomorrow

Recommended Posts

I'm so excited for you! I had my VSG surgery March 3rd. I was never nauseous and had no problem getting my fluids down. Other than minor muscle soreness, as if I had overworked an adominal exercise session, I felt great from day one! I wish you an uneventful, successful surgery and speedy recovery. Keep us posted!
Thank you

Hey guys I'm back with my day 2 post op. Right out of surgery I was out of it I slept the whole day but I did make sure I walked a little and sip on sum Water. I haven't had my full liquids yesterday just water but I will start my full liquid diet today at 8 am. There was no pain It was all gas once you let the gas out your good to go. I did experience nausea twice due to the gas pain but nothing too serious. To everyone going for your surgery soon you'll be okay. My birthday is March 26th hopefully I get to have a little bit of fun . Thanks to everyone for the support.

I just had a sleeve done yesterday and have just been discharged. Waiting to be picked up. I’m in pain but so excited to continue this journey, and grateful to have found this resource.

Congrats! 3 week post op here. Finally hitting the gym tomorrow! Time will fly! I thought I was gonna die week 1… now I’m looking back like girl please! Lol! I remember you said you were in NJ, when you’re feeling up to it in a few weeks we should definitely hit the gym or do some outdoors exercises 😊

Same for me! I was prepared for the worst, but hoping for the best...and I couldn't have asked for a better experience considering it is surgery!

It is wild, isn't it, how much less painful it is for most people? I know some go through a lot of pain but most do not. I was actually pretty surprised. I don't think I really believed the people who told me the same. 😄

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
