These are the Christmas pants I got from my family last year. I weighed 250lbs Dec 2021 & I've lost 67lbs since then!

I ordered these pj pants many years ago and never wore them because they were too small. They're a men's size L/XL. The difference losing 115lbs makes!

DUMPING. I hate the word. It sounds so much more messy than it actually can be. It just feels graphic lol

My program allowed carbs after 3 months! Whole grain carbs, healthy carbs, etc.
I've learned to love Keto bread products as they're usually low cal, low carb & can be a solid substitute! You 100% don't need to be keto to get them, they're just a really good compromise if you want to go that route. I even make pizza with keto crust (I use Joseph's Brand Pita Bread & Lavash Bread for it) It's good to have around
But I've also found that I crave breads less in general. I don't -need- a carb to be apart of every meal anymore bc all that protein keeps me full & satisfied. Maybe that can happen for you too

I just went shopping for the first time! I used to be a size 3x/4x. This is a large & it's somewhat a loose fit! It's perfect for what I want this winter but I was so sure it'd be form-fitting. I can't believe I'm in the 'straight size' section now

My fingers are prettier. While typing on my phone I noticed my thumb looks thinner & longer. My brother visited for the first time in months & he said "even your hands look different" like wow, i have lady hands now lol

The positive statements made make me feel I can do this. I am still just going through the qualifying and pre-op stage. I don't even have a date for the surgery yet. I AM trying to adapt my eating habits to what I will have to do during pre-op. I'm sort of practicing. No weight loss yet just up and down 5 pounds or so. I just bought my vitamins, and a few other things, so I'm getting serious. No, I AM serious! I'm committed to do this and make it work. Reading these comments shows me it isn't easy but it is worth the work. Thank you all.

qtdoll got a reaction from SleeveToBypass2023 in Pouch reset?
Yeah like they said, pouch resets isn't really a thing. It's essentially just putting you back on a diet. The main one I've seen is the protein shake diet & it works because it puts you back into a basic calorie deficit. You can do that without drinking just liquids, make it a better experience for yourself!

Take advantage of your year long honeymoon phase! After 4 months it's very easy to 'abuse' your sleeve & eat what you want. Stay strict, stay commited, find healthy meals you love & stick with it. You'll keep losing when people's progress starts to slow down

I feel bad that you think this is even a little bit bad! You are 100% entitled to keeping that private, especially when the majority of the population are very ignorant to the procedure & think it's a magic spell. If anything, id say it's a good habit to save yourself from any of that judgement! Haha

    Ohhhh great thread idea!!
Before surgery I had your typical bad habits. Eat too much takeout, binge at night, avoid mirrors at all costs etc.
After surgery I'd say that have become a little too attached to excersicing. I can be a bit obsessive when it comes to working out, but its also a good thing. I just can't imagine my life without it now!

For excersice: I got the Adidas Adizero SL Running shoes & they're 10/10. They're weightless!
A Fitbit. Hitting my daily goals on there is my #1 motivation
Compression shin sleeves are wonderful for preventing pain from walking/running/stair climbing etc
A fanny pack makes life VERY easy at the gym/on your walks
Look up cooling towels you can drape around your neck or tie around your wrist when you work out, they're fantastic.
Lip balm. Sometimes we get dry skin after surgery & a lot of breathing during working out can cause lip dryness. Trust me, keep one in your fanny pack & you will use it A LOT.
