  2. Try the ricotta bake. It’s delicious. I finally made it yesterday and omg?? i also bought a small food processor and chopped ground turkey, added some hummus and it too was delicious.
  3. Congratulations! Italy sounds amazing!
  4. I had gastric bypass 5/17 and I’m doing well. Walking 2-3miles every other day, drinking flavored water throughout the day to stay hydrated, took my first set of vitamins today (not bad), trying to eat slowly. So far i have eaten turkey burger, tuna with light mayo, pureed chili, yogurt, scrambled eggs with cheddar, protein drinks. 3 of my 6 incisions have begun to heal (glue fell off) and the others are itching. I had my first experience with food getting stuck in my chest.. I thought i was dying. No more dry turkey burgers for me? I hope everyone is doing well.
  5. Great question. I’d love to hear everyones input too. I’m not even 2 weeks post op and am drinking alot as well. I went on a 2 mile walk yesterday, came back hot and sweaty then drank 20 oz gatorade zero in less than 30 minutes. my liquid intake and tolerance levels have increased.. did I stretch my pouch??
  6. Hi All, I'm 5 days post op and one of my incisions has leaked clear fluid twice. Has this happened to anyone?
  7. I can’t take anymore of the room temperature liquids so i moved to slightly cold? liquids. I did make my own broth and that has helped. I also switched from premier protein drinks to powdered whey protein drinks. My stomach has been able to handle chocolate so far and I’m drinking 4ozs 3xs a day. I also drink water with unjury strawberry sorbet protein mix. I managed to walk a mile and half yesterday. Today is day 5 post op and i feel good. My incisions are starting to itch a bit. Hope everyone is doing well.

  9. Hey guys, i had a gastric bypass yesterday. I spent most of the day sleeping, then woke up about six hours, and went for a walk around the recovery area. I was not allowed to drink anything so in order to take away the dryness of my lips I used a wet gauze. The gauze also helped to clean the inside of my mouth to remove the anesthesia remnants. I was transferred to a room about an hour later to continue my recovery. I have experienced cramping, gas, gas pains in my collarbone, but it has been manageable. Today I have spent the day walking a bit, sitting on a chair and moving around the room so I don’t lay down. I had a G.I. test done this afternoon, which is done to make sure the stomach doesn’t have leaks. I was cleared for stage one diet, which consists of 2 ounce of chicken broth, 2 ounce of tea, and 3.5 ounce of Jell-O. I managed to sip the broth, but there was some cramping so I stopped. I read somewhere that I should take 30 minutes to sip the 2ounces.. that’s all for now guys. I’m supposed to be discharged tomorrow. How is everyone doing? Would love to hear about your journey.

  13. I'm curious how were you able to eat all the different textures and variety during the pureed stage.
  14. I was there last week. I almost cried. Find a tv show, take a walk, eat a popsicle..it will pass.
