All surgeons are different, so just follow your surgeon's guidelines.

Oh wow you are not that big in my opinion. I remember being 190lb and i am 5'4 in high school. if i was 190lb now i personally would not be getting surgery. But thats me. Good luck on your surgery.

That is not an appropriate post. We are not here to judge other people's decisions to have or not have surgery. OP discussed this with their surgeon and they feel that surgery is the right answer. Keep your opinions on whether people "need" surgery to yourself. We deal with enough judgement in the outside world.

Im still waiting on my surgery date.

Sent from my LM-V600 using BariatricPal mobile app

I was told that as well but then 2 weeks before my surgery they said I should start with shakes, small meal is chicken and vegetables lunch, small fruit and shake for dinner. I’m assuming to get used to the amount of calories you will be trying to take in post op. I am on all Clear Liquids on Sunday for surgery on Monday.

Everyone’s preop diet is different. Mine was low fat carb sugar for two weeks and two days liquid and that was hard enough. Some people have to do several weeks liquid. I would just count your blessings if I were you.

My surgery is scheduled for Feb 23, 2022. My surgeon told me (when I saw him on Jan 11) to do Keto until two days before my surgery and then it will be liquids.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
