Thought it might be fun to get some recommendations for new grocery items to add to my shopping list. Spices, grab n go items, anything really.

I’ll add a couple of my new faves below!

  • Just crack an egg. I could prepare the ingredients myself but this is great for when I’m lazy. I use an egg white instead of a whole egg.

  • I love most flavors of Greek yogurt, but my absolute fave is this Caramel Apple Pie yogurt. Has chunks of baked apple in it and it really hits the spot!!

Great thread idea! Here are a couple I like a lot. Chili Lime Chicken Burgers from Trader Joe‘s Frontera Grill marinade/sauces are a great way to add a ton of flavor with minimal calories

Not exactly a Grocery Food Item, but worth looking into, if you drink carbonated water...(wasn't sure where to post this!!)

Oh yes the fabled red bag chicken filets. They are very good.

Yes ... they are another Aldi cult favorite!

What a tease with very little info! What is name of product? How many carbs? Where did you get it?

Love these! Like cheese doodles. Got from Amazon. It had some negative reviews but positive ones won out!

I googled with what info I could see. Looks like Fiber One, Cinnamon Coffee Cake Soft Bars.

Ah! Fiber One. Thanks for updating info!

I tried shirataki pasta (found at Walmart) for the first time this week, and I like it! It has a bad smell in the bag, but I prepared it like this and there was no taste or smell:

I ate 1/4 cup of it with some delicious turkey meat sauce (https://www.panningtheglobe.com/quick-turkey-ragu/) and it was a decent imitation of spaghetti. I prefer this to zucchini or butternut squash noodles because I don't like squash.

I'm a big fan of cauliflower rice. It's weird because I hate cauliflower, but I don't mind cauliflower rice. With sauce and mix-ins, I can almost fool myself into thinking I'm eating actual rice. I mostly buy the plain kind, but this fried rice style makes a good lazy 3-ingredient meal: fried cauliflower rice + frozen pulled chicken + Huy Fong chili garlic sauce. The nutrition info is for the entire bag, but I only eat 1/5 of the bag (2 ounces).

This frozen pulled chicken is awesome. It is so convenient to keep in the freezer. I think it's better than the grilled chicken strips. It's great for salads, mixing with cauliflower rice, covering with sugar-free BBQ sauce, etc. -- basically any time I don't feel like cooking my own chicken.

Probably TMI here, but be careful where and when you eat these (at least at first!) I brought them to work (before WLS) and they made me VERY gassy! Like, I had to go home or embarrass myself gassy! Just be careful...that's all I'm saying!

I would not eat this - I have to be very very careful with artificial sweeteners. It has erythritol and sorbitol both which cause me to have the runs really really really badly. I cannot drink any of the weight loss shakes or meal replacers or these "diet bars" no zero calorie sweetened yogurt, no low cal/low sugar ice creams unless I read the ingerdients really carefully. Anyone with celiac disease of gluten intolerance also should be VERY careful with these.

I guess I'm lucky, I use artificial sweeteners all the time with no issues at all. Didn't realize how lucky I was I guess. :-)

they've never bothered me, either - but evidently they do a lot of people.

Sweeteners and real sugar affect me in the same way...in small amounts ok, but too much at a time or on an empty stomach results in dumping

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately many years ago I was hospitalized because those artificial sweeteners caused me such a problem I developed colitis from the episode. This was some 40 years ago. Sorbitol is naturally occurring and present in apples and plums and concentrated in prunes and other dried fruits. IF it doesn't bother you, I can imagine those ingredients are great as they fill you up and don't add calories !
