One week to go!! Let’s talk pain. How was it? I’ve had two kids naturally, is it comparable? Tell me your experience! ☺️

Aside from discomfort about the incision sites I had very little pain. Only needed light pain medication for a couple of days via drip, no or very little gas (I did a lot of walking), for about a day (if that) I would get a stomach spasm that would last only a few seconds when I would have a sip water and the water hit the stomach.

You should be fine.

I had difficulties & pain on swallowing for the first couple of days after surgery due to swelling. My back then went into spasm due to the tension I was holding. But as to surgery pain I had very little. Was easily managed in hospital. First day home I took one of the strong prescribed pain killers in the morning, the second day home was a single over the counter pain med & then nothing else. I don’t think I even needed those. I didn’t even have gas pain (very appreciative of that after hearing about the experiences of others).

pain is all across the board with these surgeries, but most people seem to have little to no pain with it. I've never had kids, but most women who have report it's WAY easier than childbirth (or C-sections)

Just had a recent conversation on this topic. My response would be the same.

I agree with the previous statement that pain is subjective. I personally was in a lot of pain after the surgery despite walking around every 30 minutes and doing everything I was supposed to do. On the bright side, the pain had subsided by the 4th day.
