I am having VSG on July 7. Still feels so far away.

My fear has been realized...they cancelled my surgery at the Boca Raton Hospital...the day after my pre-op tests. The doctor agreed to schedule me at another hospital, at a slightly higher price, as long as this hospital doesn't cancel elective surgeries!

Hang in there! Mine was cancelled in May and finally I am scheduled for tomorrow. Keep the faith!! Sending prayers for a quick date!

The surgeon himself called today & scheduled me for the 21st! I'm excited, nervous & dreading the 10 day liquid diet, although I did feel better when he said I could cheat occasionally with lean chicken, fish, beef or cheese. Now I pray I don't hear my husband complaining the entire time about taking me to Chicago. Thanks to everyone who has shared their experiences, it really has helped me a lot!

I had my op. last thursday and today for the first time I feel hungry I was able to go shopping & all the pizzas, chocolates, chips around were super hard! I begin to miss solid food & being able to chew something.

I'm on my pre-op liquid diet and I went shopping yesterday to stock up on stuff for the liquid and pureed stages. The store has one-way aisles, so I had to walk through a bunch of aisles I didn't want to, and man, was it hard to walk by all of the foods I can't have anymore. To make matters worse, there was a delicious smell from the bakery wafting throughout the store.

On the upside, I discovered that sugar-free tropical Popsicles are delicious!

Day 3 of pre-op liquid diet (with the "op" very up in the air!) and I am scaling back on caffeine. I have 3 cups of coffee in the morning and I'm at two decafs and one caf. I have also learned that using Caramel Premier Protein as a creamer is YUMMY! LOL

one week post op. Recovery and first 2 days were tough but it gets better everyday. Lost 15 pounds ?
