December 2019 Sleeves

My anesthesiologist gave me something for the anxiety. I didn’t care by the time I hit the OR doors. It’s going to go great! I’m a little over 2 weeks post op and I don’t regret it.

Hey! I had my surgery on 12/4/19 and lost 22lbs my first week, this week I've stalled. Feeling discouraged but continuing to follow my post-op diet. SO tired of Protein Shakes and broth!

Think of it as 11lbs lost each week! If you lost 22lbs every week, eventually you'd disappear 😅

5:15am tomorrow... what time are all the other 12/18 sleevers that are around here? Anyone else nervous AF? Haha idk why this surgery is getting me so rattled vs previous

Hopefully I won’t wake up from anesthesia telling everyone to take Jell-O shots like I did from the scope hahaha 🤦🏼‍♀️ (never even had one before haha)

I have to be at the hospital at 7:30, surgery is at 9:30 tomorrow (12/18) and I’m am also nervous AF!

I have to be at the hospital by 6:15 tomorrow morning. I’m not really nervous yet, however, I feel like I will be when I wake up in the morning. 😩 Good luck to all of my surgery twins! We got this!! 👊

I had mine on the 9th and doing great! The worse part was waiting in recovery to go to a regular room as I wanted to get out of the bed and sit up! I slept on the Recliner in the room as it was more comfortable. Good luck to all the upcoming surgeries! It was the best decision of my life!

I had my sleeve on 12/2 and my wife followed a week later on 12/9. It's actually very supporting to be eating from the "same menu".

I agree. Hubby and I were on the same day. Meal planning is so much easier

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
