❤MARCH 2019 CHALLENGE❤

Recommended Posts

Lots of happy childhood memories running rampant outdoors with my two little sisters and our dog. East Texas in the 80s!

Also, my favorite perfume is Chloe Nomade. So expensive I can only buy the tiny bottles but I love it so it's worth it. It's the perfume that finally got me to switch from my old stand by, Chanel Allure. I feel like a new woman when I wear it :)

March 4th:
Happy Childhood memories are abundant but one i can visibly share is playing in a blizzard with my siblings (photographers). I am swinging from our ancient Magnolia tree. My ridiculousness was indulged at every turn (within reason) and I am supremely grateful.

That is a smile of pure, unadulterated joy!

Challenge B side question: What is your favorite perfume? This is my favorite: Orchid from Zara. Inexpensive but super fragrant. Smells like hibiscus tea and summer in the West Indies.
I discovered this after WLS because i bever could shop at Zara, they had nothing in my size. But my niece ,24, asked me to shop with her there and try on clothes etc. I still didnt like much although I could fit it all now but this was the true treasure found.
What's your favorite?

I love the Crabtree & Evelyn oriental range, particularly Ottoman Rose. It's bloomin' expensive - it's the poshest beauty product I own and I love it. https://crabtree-evelyn.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/80432_nocolor.jpg

4. Happy Childhood Memory. We lived on a farm when I was a kid, and my parents threw my brother and I a birthday party (our birthdays are three days apart). I remember it was a gorgeous sunny September day and dad had put bales of hay out for us to sit on. I felt like the sun was shining just for me and I can smell the hat even today.

I hear ya!! I am so ready for spring! Snow yesterday and wind chills in the single digits. I’ll do a lot to get my walk in but I won’t do that!!! 🥶

Favourite childhood memory... gosh, I don't think I have one. I might have to come back to that one later when one stands out to me. I had a hard but also somehow magical childhood.

Favourite perfume - weirdly, my sense of smell seemed to change after my first bariatric surgery. Smells I previously liked just didn't gel with me any more, especially the more musky deep scents. I'd say one of my favourite all time perfumes though is the now discontinued Donna Karan's Chaos.

DAY 4:

  • Happiest Childhood Memory- I'm a military brat. My fondest memories are traveling by car on summer vacation all over the country with my sisters and brother. Seeing nothing but corn fields, traveling through Kansas. Seeing the Mojave desert in California. No worries just a carefree kid.
  • Favorite perfume: I think it's called Bon Chic by Max Azria. It's a light not to heavy perfume.

Thanks for sharing all those memories! I could visualize them all very clearly (with a pinch of borrowed nostalgia)

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
