Anyone else having surgery in April? Maybe we can find surgery twins here. I thought I could start it off by asking a few questions.

When is your surgery? April 4th
What kind of surgery? Revision from sleeve to Mini Gastric Bypass
Height? 5’8”
Starting weight? 285
Goal weight? 175

I had surgery 2 weeks ago and am only drinking protein shakes I feel shaky and have a rash all over me I have of course different pains all over my stomach. I am not feeling good this must be the 2 week itch

I had my post-op appointment today and I am down 11lbs from surgery date of 4/29. According to my Surgeon and my dietitian I am ahead of schedule for the weight I've lost far. I was advanced to soft cooked eggs soft vegetables (fish which I don't eat) and some fruits. I am doing well with my water, but need to increase protein to 64 oz. I found that I don't like anything that is sweet and I don't have an appetite. My incisions are healed and pain near the largest incision is pretty much gone.

Starting weight-260 lbs

Surgery Weight-244 lbs

Current weight-233 lbs

Yeah it's frustrating as need to lose 8.6 lbs more at least to get my knee replacement. So we shall see.

You can do it take it easy eat slow I am afraid to eat anything it hurts so he said 1 teaspoon an hour I dropped 10 that is good but I feel bloated and tired I cant stand the thought of eating baby food

No. I lost about 18 lbs in approximately 2 weeks. I’ve lost about 20 or so lbs in the first month as my weight loss slowed because I had lost that weight so quickly.

Nice! Did you hit a stall like I did? Because I had lost the first 18 lbs so quickly I hit a stall at week 3. My nutritionist said it’s my body going into self preservation mode. I stopped weighing myself daily and weigh in weekly. The scale finally moved (weighed last Sunday) and as of that day, I’m down 20 lbs all together.

You should contact your surgeon, that would seem to indicate a reaction to one of the meds they put you on. I’m not a doctor though. I had itchy skin where my incisions were healing but no rash. I would definitely have it checked out. Hang in there!
