Wow you are doing great. Mine was April 29th I am still recovering and drinking protein shakes

My surgery was April 29th today is 12 gays I am feeling weak and only drink the protein drinks, I am at 183. Want more off before I start eating food... Everyone's progress is different so we made the right choice doing this surgery I just hope I can tolerate food at the end of the month....

Late post but I had surgery on 4/15. VSG. SW 319.8 CW 300. HW 378. 5’6”

I had surgery 2 weeks ago and am only drinking protein shakes I feel shaky and have a rash all over me I have of course different pains all over my stomach. I am not feeling good this must be the 2 week itch

Yeah it's frustrating as need to lose 8.6 lbs more at least to get my knee replacement. So we shall see.

I have trouble with the protein shakes as well. I bought the unflavored protein isolate (I like the isopure unflavored whey protein isolate) from Amazon. For 1 scoop, you get 25 g protein. You can add it to anything. Yogurt, soup, smoothie, cottage cheese... I sometimes make my own shake with 1 scoop protein, 8 Oz either skim, coconut, or almond milk, a little vanilla extract, a tsp cocoa, sweetener, and a couple ice cubes... Have to wait a few minutes for the foam to settle it, but the protein powder has no flavor or aftertaste. That is my go to rescue to get the protein in when I'm struggling.

I would take feeling full anytime over feeling Ready to Puke, today there are Storm Clouds in my heart and I wonder if it will turn worse rapidly. Tried some Bran Buds this am, trying to add fiber in the hopes I will become more regular with #2. NOW WHAT?

I was 233 day off my surgery, but I am 5'3" so that is quite a bit of weight on my frame. I'm down to 218 and pretty happy with it! I'm still in purees. Going well though! I'm only getting 50ish grams of protein though. :/ still working on that.

I just got the email from my hospital that my surgery check-in is Monday at 5:30 AM. I have such a crazy mix of emotions. I'm nervous, sad, excited, nervous again, and a little panicked (is that the same thing as nervous). I've been working toward this for the last year and I know I want it, I know I need it, but that doesn't seem to calm the butterflies in my stomach.
Any words of encouragement or stories about your improved life quality would be AMAZING right now.

I had to call for all my tests also no one sent them to where they were supposed to be.. It was annoying took me an extra month any way they are done I see the Doctor this Friday so I can get ready for my surgery

Amazing, isn't it? We are almost there! Just a few weeks left of this part of our journey. I wish you the very best in your surgery.

Thinking my pre op yesterday was going to be a breeze I should have been a little more prepared for just something to not go as planned:( I had an endoscopy in 2015 which the nurse a few weeks ago in my bariatric office said should be fine and she would consult with the dr to make sure and that NO news was good news. Well when the office called telling me my cardiologist had not sent the clearance letter they also asked about my endoscopy.. which of course I said I was told it was ok to use the 2015 per the nurse. So after I left yesterday I had to call the gastro office to have them send consent to the other office -- Not that easy because they called this morning playing phone tag telling me that the gastro dr said NO NO NO I had to do another test or she would not send any consent for clearance OMG!!! Really!! So I was able to get an appt for 4/3 and within 15 minutes that appt was taken away because my procedure has to be done in a hospital not at the alt. location because they would not accept me with health issues:( So before the office closed I FINALLY was told it would be tomorrow morning. More time off just what I was trying to avoid. Hope everyone else has better luck, I just thought I was so much better prepared, and they pull this extra stress on me when I can't eat... Mean just Mean ha ha!

I’m in the Portland, Oregon area!! I’m getting mine done April first at the Kaiser Sunnyside.

Whoa, I am feeling it today. This is the fourth day of the pre-op liquid diet, and it is hitting me today like a ton of bricks.
On the plus side, my morning weight this AM was 340.2 (my pre-diet weight fluctuated from 345 - 352, which was a 25+ drop from my peak weight of 376).
