I had my VSG on Apr 15...I’m down 48 lbs total, 39 lbs since surgery. I’m still struggling to get in 64 oz of fluids a day, but I’m doing better. I have no issues eating or getting in my protein. I have to keep reminding myself that slow & steady wins the race, but being down 2 clothing sizes (almost 3!) feels great!- April 2019 Surgeries!
Were almost surgery twins! My VGS was on 4/15. My HW was 227, pre-surg 218 and I’m at 198 now (I’m 5’1”). I’ve felt the same way, especially since I was at 199 for 5 days! But I’m down 2 shirt sizes and 1 pant size, so I know I’m losing! Just trying to stay positive...get to start regular foods Monday!- April 2019 Surgeries!

We’re almost surgery twins! My surgery was April 15 and I had a VSG. I’m 5’1”, starting weight was 227, day of surgery weight was 216, and my goal weight is 145-150. I hope things are going well for you! I can hardly wait to get to my puréed food stage lol I’m already sick of all my fluids! I haven’t had any issues. How have you done so far?- April 2019 Surgeries!
I just got my sleeve Mon, Apr 15 and came home yesterday. Things have gone really well! I’m working on my fluid intake with my tracker sheet. My pain has been minimal, as has been my nausea. I’m mostly just tired, which is totally expected. I got my laps in at the hospital with no problems, and am making sure I get up at least once an hour during awake hours to keep blood circulating. My biggest struggle has been doing the spirometer as often as I should have in the hospital and I can tell.- Multivitamins?
My surgeon and nutritionist said Flintstones aren’t acceptable because they’re made for children’s needs, not adult bariatric patients! I’m going to be taking Bariatric Fusion chewables, which also include the extra calcium were to take also.- April Sleevers
My date is April 15! I’m on my 1 week pre-surgery liquid diet. I’m having my surgery through WVU’s Bariatric program here in WV. They’re fantastic!- April 2019 Surgeries!
