Kind of funny how you even chose an avatar that looks like a b***h. Why don't you take a look inward before calling someone an ass.

Do you not see the hypocritical-ness of this post?

I think @sideeye has a very valid point that no one wants to come on here and be judged, that's not what this forum is for. @Tootiesmom came here with a legitimate concern, acknowledged some bad choices and is asking for help. Hasn't everyone made some poor choices at some point?

Well I still like you, you made a couple bad choices, but you're going to try doing better, right? And if you getvtempted you will remember how you feel now. Pick yourself up, shake off the criticism if it hurts, dust yourself off, all is not lost. Your sleeve will feel better when you feel better, and you are still pretty cool, okay? Please stay, you were at least honest, in this politically correct eera, it's refreshing.😜

Thank u :)

I bet you had a blast!!! Lmao sorry you had a bad time afterwards!

I have zero experience with your drug of choice, but I know a little bud can mess up your diet when the munchies kick in lol

I guess you just gotta Live and learn from each life experience! People are way too uptight...

Thanks for sharing!

It was good at the time ;)

At some point you have to call it like it is. Some choices can be "poor choices" but if you make excuses for criminal choices aren't you condoning that type of behavior? (And yes, it is against the law in Scotland) My whole point was, plenty of people come on here and confess their diet screw ups and get slammed by other members and that seems to be ok. Don't even try saying something derogatory about drug users, all the sudden you'll be public enemy number one.

I made a mistake last week and had a couple of lines of coke with beers while at a friend's house over Xmas

3 days later I started to feel nauseous and had diarohea

I've now been laid up in bed for 3 days vomiting and have flu symptoms

My sleeve is sore and I haven't eaten for 3 days

Is it just coincidence that I've caught a winter bug or have the drugs and drink done this to me?

Snow Bae...

Rehab soon 🎈

Dang, there's a lot of negativity on this post. She made a mistake. She realizes that she made a mistake. We've all made mistakes whether it's with drugs, alcohol, food, in life...whatever. Let's all remember what Thumper taught us all those years ago: "If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all".

I feel like saying “drugs are bad mmmkay!” is a bit stating the obvious. Obviously the OP knows that cocaine doesn’t equal kale (even if it tastes the same) in terms of being a healthy choice.

Let me tell you judgy judgers something... there is NO ONE using drugs (other than pot) that thinks they are making a healthy choice. It’s like smoking- or eating that pizza. People know they shouldn’t, but they do. I’m not condoning coke use, but I’m also wise enough to know someone doing a few lines of coke isn’t the same as someone shooting up heroin and I’m not going to label someone who does the former an addict. They probably, well definitely, shouldn’t have done coke, but I’m sure the OP knows that and wasn’t asking for us to tell them their choice was okay. They were asking if it could have caused the gastrointestinal distress they are experiencing.

I have no experience so I have no advice, I just want to say you will get no judgment from me. I nearly ate myself into an early grave, so who am I to judge? I hope you are able to kick this and get healthy.

I have no experience with drugs, but I have plenty with research... so just a few words of advice 😆

If you have an addictive personality, it is very easy to transfer your addiction from food to alcohol (most common), but drugs, shopping, and other addictions as well. This is an incredibly difficult journey you're about to go through. Give yourself your best chances and stay away from the other vices - as you've discovered, it is MUCH easier to get drunk quicker, forget your precautions, and end up like you have now in a place that isn't fun.

Plus alcohol dehydrates you. Have some Water on the rocks instead 🥂

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.
