I’m having sleeve surgery next month it’s mad expensive I’m doing self pay. I feel for her because addiction is real. Reason why she needs psychiatrist and proper prescription meds that won’t affect her sleeve. I see many people like me are on Wellbutrin.

Look you need to go through a detox, warm tea, spring water and rest. You are doing coke and alcohol likely due to anxiety and depression. You need a psychologist and psychiatrist so you can stop self medicating. First you need to ensure you have proper sleeping patterns then get on a prescription like Wellbutrin to calm your mind and body. I don’t judge I’m here to help. I personally am on Wellbutrin and it helped me bear alcoholism

Congratulations!!! My insurance said I had to wait a year because they won’t pay until I retire, so I’m feb I am going to mexico. I’ve seen really great reviews about the facility and surgeon. Reading reviews on this forum has eased a lot of my anxiety

I think you are more correct, since the last divorce my family is overall happier than ever. Some people are just evil miserable people with no intention of making a better life for their family and this overall planet

I have told coworkers and family but I’m hiding from everyone that I’m getting surgery in Mexico. When I initially told them everyone was against it, then I said I’m getting it in San Diego now everyone ok. I don’t like lying I just want them to support my choice and trust that I did all the research

I already know his story, thank you like I said previously to another poster. I also checked and nothing new has come up. I will ask for respect on my decision and that we can keep this post positive. I have gone over seas for surgery and have had good experience and if it doesn’t it’s mine decision. Thank you.

Hey all, wanted to give an update on my surgery.
When I got to the hospital, they first had me pee in a cup to make sure I wasn't pregnant. After that I got taken to a room where they asked me family history questions, etc. They also started an IV. I met with the anesthesioloist and he told me about the plan for surgery and asked if I had any questions. He also offered me some meds that would make me relax, which I gladly accepted. After that I was wheeled to the OR. I don't remember anything after that—the next thing I remember was waking up in a recovery bed. My stomach was sooo full of gas and I was super uncomfortable, but I wasn't allowed to walk around yet. Eventually, they let me walk a little bit because I had to go to the bathroom. After that they took me to my room—I don't remember much about that. I slept a lotttttt. My stomach was still in some pain, but it wasn't terrible. Throughout the night several people checked on me and took my vitals. After midnight I was able to have water, which was great because my mouth was hella dry. This morning, I walked some and it was much easier than it was before. Today my stomach is sore, but it's more of discomfort than pain. I'm home and have absolutely no appetite. I'm sipping on water to keep me hydrated, but haven't started on protein shakes yet.

I'm single and my meds also keep me calm and I don't think it's the meds. Ever since I got divorced it's just a matter of having to take care for anyone else. I'm 57 and not wanting to cook or anything else for anyone else. I love being single. It's much more relaxing.

I’m divorced, dating is so awkward for me. The older I get the more corny I get. I’ve lost all my cool and just talk about how I’m on meds to keep my anxiety away. Reading this I see why I’m single lmao. But my meds have me so calm I don’t even give a f&ck

I was sleeved four years ago. There's not a single thing I can't eat now. Sure, I eat a lot less food per serving, but there's nothing I can't eat anymore.
We create so much anxiety for ourselves, convincing ourselves that we'll never eat certain foods, we'll never eat out again, people will treat us differently, & we'll never enjoy life again. And you know what? All of that is made up in our heads.

OMG, I'm going through a similar thought pattern at the moment. My surgery is not until early Feb 2019 and I first met my surgeon in August 2018 so I've had all this time to relax and not worry about dieting. On the other hand I've gained about 5kgs since then and I've got to get through Christmas and New Years yet. I will be starting a pre-op diet on the 21st January 2019 but I'm worried that I'm going to blow up to the size of a house before then. I have my first appointment with my dietitian in a couple of weeks and I'm just wondering... do they ask you to lose x amount of kilos from the day you see your dietitian or do they just ask that you lose for example 5 kgs from whatever you are at the start of your pre-op diet? I guess they are all different but I'm worried they want me to lose the weight from when i first saw my surgeon in August which was 5 kgs ago ?
