I wanna Nutri- bullet, I wanna Nutribullet, anybody listening? Nope didn't think so, have to buy one MYSELF!
Frustr8 I hear you. I want one too but am afraid to push my luck. My honey made sure I have a nice blender and a hand and electric chopper. He has gone out his way to help me succeed. Don't want a bullet bad enough to upset him after all that. [emoji300]

Im very new to the gastric sleeve. I had my surgery dec 6th. I'm having a horrible time with trying new ways to get the Protein Shakes down, I found putting them in the blender they literally turn to foam. I have a few recepies but I'm currently on 3 shakes a day and need new ways to drink them. Im currently still only on bariatric high Protein liquids stage.. any advice would be wonderful! Thank you

I used premiere prior to surgery and switched to Unjury after surgery. I found I do the best with Classic chocolate with almond milk mixed in the shaker bottle. It seems to go down the easiest. I started with unjury's sample pack to see which flavor I liked. Mixing them in a blender seems to froth them up too much and then I can't get them down.

Unjury is actually specially made for bariatric surgery and is more easily digested than some of the others. Try different shakes until you find one that works for you. Best of luck on your journey.

You can get the unflavored protien powder and add it to broth for a change

I'm drinking premade GNC Lean shakes with 25g Protein per 14 oz shake. I'm 15 days post-op. I like the chocolate ones. I also bought some Pure Protein Clear Shakes at Sam's Club (premade) that are fruit punch flavored
Not sure off hand which clear (red) fruit flavor Protein Drink I picked up at Walmart. Has 15g of protein but I personally do not like them. The kind I got tasted like unsweetened cough Syrup. Not good. I think I got the wrong thing. Lol! I have strange taste preferences after surgery for a few things.

Probably what passes for fruit punch, yeah sometimes they are weird in taste. What I did was 6oz(1/3 cup) punch Protein, 6oz minute maid 15 fruit drink and filled up the rest of the way to 16oz by Water.< /p>

If you ore make your shake and jet it set in the fridge the foam / bubbles go away in about 15 minutes. When you mix it up just gently tip the container a few times.

For a while post surgery I relied on the own-branded Protein Soups you get from the BariatricPal Store. I bought a mixed pack and tried them all to pick my favourite.

@Newbie34can you post a photo of the protein h2go bottle? I have never seen it here in New Zealand, I don’t think...

Unjury shakes with either the Unjury shaker bottle or the GNC shaker bottle (has mixer thingie inside). They will be less foamy and mix very well. Add 2T of sugar free Torani Syrup (pick your flavor) and you will love it. Or add a little bit of PB2 powder. I’ve been testing shakes for the last 3 mos to prepare for post op days. There are a LOT of options out there. Unjury also has Soups with Protein.

I did the same but made the mistake of stocking up on some and my tastebuds and preferences totally changed post surgery. I had shelves of stuff I had to give away. I had an endless sweet tooth and now I hate sweet things especially diet sugary stuff.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
