Food Before and After Photos

Like weight loss before and after photos but of your new diet !

I'm especially interested in before and after meal photos (take a pic at the point you feel restriction) but it can be of recipe substitutions, your refrigerator/pantry/shopping cart/etc

Salad!

Painstakingly mise-en-placed this baby then settled in to watch the latest Bond movie. Ate the 5 peices pork belly (40g) and a forkful of the crab salad and I was DONE. Pork continues to be a super-stomach-filler for me. Which is a good thing because I love roasted pork belly. AND a bad thing cuz I love roasted pork belly ?

Had I eaten the whole thing (which i most certainly did not…even though i really wanted to!) it would have been 589 calories. Will tackle the rest later.

I am finding my sweet tooth coming back like a vengeance after December surgery 2018. I'm definitely a Cookie Monster and love chips, too! Made homemade thinned sliced potatoes in 450 degree oven to satisfy craving without the salt, oil and preservatives. It must be the holiday season abundance of the treat mentality or new cool climate? And, if I take just a few bites to sample - it does not satisfy until I eat the whole piece of cake

I’m right there with you! I don’t think my sweet tooth truly ever went away but dumping curtails many shenanigans.

But I also go through food phases. I’ll love something for 2 months then never want to see it again. ?

I tend to share all desserts with others or “buffer” dessert with a vegetable intensive or low calorie meal. Honestly it does as much for me mentally as calorically. I need chocolate on a monthly basis.

Let me know if you find a solution!

BBQ Pork on a stick.

Ate 1/2, Mr ate the other half: 111 cals for what made it into my tummy.

Green apple, carrots, cucumbers, cheddar, pepperette and roasted red pepper cream cheese: 348 calories,

Mr and I ate it all while watching a pvr’d episode of Home Economics. I’m guessing I ate bout 1/3 or less? Hard to say. I logged the entire thing anyway.

Apple Pie (full sugar so no macros sorry) made with an oil crust

I doubt I’ll eat any of it. And it was vegan right up to the point I put an egg wash on ?

I don’t usually eat this late when i’m at home, but i’ve been feeling snacky for a couple hours now and decided to just eat something already.

Cheddar, peppercorn pate, chicharron and some fig jam: 362 calories

Yeah, i know, kinda a weird combination of snacks, lol Can u tell i’m having a salt craving?!?

Made a few cookies to take into work today…

Also my meals for the day (minus the protein shake already in my bag)-

Deli turkey with cheddar cheese, olives, hard boiled egg, zucchini with ground beef, cauliflower and broccoli with Italian dressing, a meal bar, a granola bar, soup, crispy cauliflower bites, and protein puffs.

*makes list of ingredients to buy to bake cookies*

This is why i log everything i eat. Calories add up quickly, man.

This smallish breakfast sandwich is a surprising 511 calories.

Ate the extra cheese and egg on the side and a little less than half the sandwich. If it doesn’t get too soggy, i’ll eat the rest later (this bread is quite filling)

These ones are SO easy to make! I followed this recipe but used 1Tbsp vanilla instead of the other extracts and flavorings, swapped 1/2 cup of flour for cocoa powder, added 3Tbsp of water (as the dough was crumbly for my climate) and folded/kneaded in 1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips to half the dough (I split it to make 2 kinds of cookies). The recipe makes a LOT of cookies (5 dozen!) if using a small cookie scoop.

I also used the same recipe with the 1tbsp vanilla swap and 3Tbsp water to make the blossoms, wreaths and the peppermint hot chocolate cookies. (Multi purpose for the win!)

You could easily swap the sugar in this for a sugar substitute as well.

Tonight’s dinner: Baked salmon, roasted garlic and chicharron (and an espresso martini beforehand, not shown)

399 calories.

Ate (and drank) it all.

P.S. There is a tres leches cake calling my name in the fridge. After I digest my meal I just may have some later (anticipate 200 cals for 1/4 cup of it…lol)
